Those drawings show it at the current site. I don't see how Osborne would get $10,000,000 (8 figures) as shown in the PDF just for the architecture/planning for that facility. I'm disappointed if the U. can't shop around for a better offer than that.
He has a space between his words so we know that one works. The Shift key is another issue though. Just be glad for the periods at the end of the sentences. I think RACER is his own man with his own style, no matter what others say. And maybe he also likes pulling our chain
http://www.print-epro.net/freeport/446/Akr...09/index.php#/0This link is to the current Akron magazine. Page 13 has the ($500M) Capital Campaign report. $200M is the goal for continued "improvements to campus facilities". I heard the KD post-game interview and he did mention the support of Proenza, Directors and AD and putting money into athletic facilities. He must be expecting something to happen.
Try convincing KD we don't need a facility upgrade until the JAR is filled consistently. The arena is a recruiting tool, it's where the prospective recruit pictures himself playing before he decides. That's why KD is talking about it. Better facility-->better recruits-->more wins-->more fans in seats. We'll see it happen when Infocision opens.
I agree with HH and DR as the primary guards.HH role: protect the ball, take open shots, drive/score, drive/dishDR role: take open shots, drive & draw foulsSM role: spell HH and/or DR, ball handling, open shotsRS role: same as SM(?)
We need more go-to inside game for when the shots aren't falling. Zeke can help us with that next year. Great run to win the MAC and break the NCAA tourney drought.
Why do they have that huge arena in Greensboro? Just for special events like this? I know UNC-G doesn't draw that many fans. Is it just more Tobacco Road extravagance?Butler came close to beating LSU. I wasn't sure who to root for. On one hand I want the mid-majors to beat the BCS but I also don't want them to be more successful than us since they're the ones we're generally recruiting against
I don't know how good they are but it would give us a game under our belt before IU. I think we'll probably open with an FCS team at home most years from now on.
He'll soon have the record for MAC wins. He already has the record for most surgeries in a year by a D1 coach. Bobby Bowden and Joe Pa are in his sights ! Go Charlie !!
Me too but I think that may have been a fraternity pledge. I do remember two things that annoyed me that year. In a team capsule they pointed out that Holmes was the shortest starting center in the tournament (6'3") and asked whats a Zip? (and answered - Akron's chances of winning the tournament? Number of points they'll score?) so I was glad the Zips put forth an excellent effort. One of the publications also remarked that Holmes as the starting center was shorter than our team mascot. But hey, he played big. I had recently started a new job and couldn't very well be taking time off already. A fellow UA alum brought in a radio to work so we listened there. I would bet lots of money after this tourney is over that it won't take another 23 years (2032 AD  ) to get back to the big dance.
Dam-bro I sure hope CBS announcers can pronounce a 't'."finessefully", KD? "Midwest style of basketball"...I guess the line is only crossed if there's an intentional attempt to injure someone(?) (Dingletary)
You might want to put in a bid on Priceline.com. You would have to plan on leaving Wednesday since you can't choose the flight time and they may give you a late-arriving flight but you might save a lot over published fares, given the short notice for travel planning.I don't know if there's any chance UA would charter a plane for fans? I'm sure other schools have done it for the tourney (?)
"They were taking away our easy shots and a lot of us are good at taking easy pull-ups," Betts said. "They just took it away from us." Rodney Pierce, the team's leading scorer, was 1 for 9 from the field and finished with just four points. "They pretty much slowed everything down," Pierce said. "In our offense, the ball has to keep moving. Everything has to be moving at once. They slowed us down and took us out of rhythm."
http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=924107Yahoo Sports has us as the weakest 13 seed with the 4 seeds being Syracuse, Florida State, Washington and Gonzaga. I would not want to play FSU again as they would have revenge on their mind. I would love to have a crack at Gonzaga.
