See, OU goes cold from 3 and we catch up. That easy. Rarely if ever does a team stay hot from 3 for an entire game.

Exactly. You can't beat a team that doesn't miss, especially when they are extending the floor by making 3's from 3-5 feet behind the line. Keep it close enough to take over if/when they cool off. If they don't, you get them next time. All of OU's offense is driven by hot shotting. When they can't shoot, they are a terrible team...see the Belmont game as a perfect example.

I agree. There is nothing you can do to beat OU on the road when they are scorching hot from deep like they are now. The trick is to play well enough to keep it close and to catch up if/when they cool off. The turnovers and dumb fouls are the biggest difference. However, having Zeke away from the rim isn't helping either. OU has gotten too many easy rebounds and buckets inside off quick pass, and having Zeke away from the rim has not limited any of the hot, deep shooting. We are getting out rebounded by a smaller team too. KD needs to show me he can coach and correct for these couple of deficiencies. This is still a winnable game.

I will never say this is a good thing. Remember the three he took 5-8 feet behind the line and on the move with the shot clock expiring after great defense by the Zips in the waning minutes of the MACC last year? That was the difference in the game. Sickening. For me, it was like Doug Penno The Sequel.

And what accomplishments allow OU to claim such a title? National Championship? No, UA Soccer 2010. BCS Bowl appearance? No, NIU 2012. MAC Football Championships? No, UA 2005. Success in NCAA Tournament baseball? No, Can't 2012 (as much as I hate to say it). Success in NCAA Tournament golf? No, Can't every year (as much as I hate to say it). Other schools have accomplishments that fill the MAC ledger as well or better than anything OU has done. I'll give you women's volleyball and and a couple good years in men's basketball (that end this year and perhaps tomorrow night) and that's it...hardly worthy of "flagship" status. Have fun rebuilding next year and watching us with another banner season. I don't mean to feed the troll, but this guy needs put in his place with facts. Hopefully tomorrow night and later in March will be additional reality checks for him.

Here's a guy that is from a different vintage who has never seen a Seattle Sounders home game. If I won the lottery, I'd buy an MLS team as an investment in a heartbeat! The MLS is here to stay.

+1, and I bet LP makes it +2. I go to med school outside of Ohio with a couple guys who are from large, distinguished universities around the country. When they found out I went to Akron, they commented how great it must have been to go to a "soccer school" and they were familiar with the Rowdies and their chants from youtube. Soccer does matter.
