  1. Last I saw them, we beat tWVU 5-0 on a snow covered Lee Jackson Field in the NCAA Tournament (circa 2004). I expcect WVU to be respectable, but we should have no problem in taking care of business.
  2. iCoach is the loser.
  3. The MAC is getting killed in the OOC so far this season. No way we get an at-large bid. Even with a 23/24-X record, our RPI will be too low based on RPI from our conference schedule.
  4. We gave them all they could handle. We played hard all game and a lot of our guys stepped up. No way UD would want to come to the JAR next year. The deciding play was the traveling call on the hit three pointer at the end. I am just waiting for that signature win on our tournament card. It will happen, I just hope it is soon (i.e. this season).
  5. We're fine. Keep playing hard!
  6. If you are KD, when do you bring Z back in? I'd say the 3 minute mark provided it stays close because OT is a strong possibility.
  7. Win or lose, this is a great college basketball game...even for the casual fan or sports junky. I want the big W though! GO ZIPS.
  8. Keep in mind that this is Dayton's drought and we only just tied the game. To sustain another run from them or another drought from us, we need to build a lead and run some clock now.
  9. McNees! There is that senior leadership I was inquiring about at halftime! Back in this one. OUCH on Zeke's 4th foul. To be good versus really good this year, we need to succeed without him on the floor. No better time to learn that than now.
  10. This is a totally different team with Zeke in the game. Unfortunately, he was just given a weak 3rd foul. That doesn't bode well for us.
  11. We need some senior leadership to show up in the second half if we want to get back into this one. I still don't know why we have these 10 minute scoring droughts. It seems to be a feature of every big game that this program loses. Another poster said it already, we are lucky to only be down 10. Let's turn the tables in the second half!
  12. +1. I will be watching from Philadelphia.
  13. Did the Athletics Department make that or was it done by a fan?
  14. I have said in other threads that I would be the first to admit when I was wrong. I was wrong about Steve being loaned to a European club. Great alternative news though. Congrats, Steve.
  15. Answered my own question. I will settle for the radio. I love Frenchy! http://www.sportsradio1350.com/main.html
  16. Anyone have a free link to the MACC gametracker or video?
  17. I completely agree. The facilities and overall direction of the university must have garnered us some attention already even if just in casual conversation among other league administrators and presidents. We are at least on the radar although I don't see us going anywhere for 5-10 years.
  18. This would be great. I don't want to see Zakuani leave the Sounders because I'd like to go to a game in Seattle next year, perhaps vs KC or Chivas, or another MLS team where some of our current players may be. From what I've seen, best atmosphere in MLS (and possibly any major league sport). Lots of luck getting Sounders tickets that aren't marked up on StubHub or the like. The Sounders have sold out every game since since they first started MLS play. You're better off seeing them as the away team although I'm sure the atmosphere in Seattle is amazing.
  19. I agree, they do stink. However, they are no worse off (and I would argue at least a little bit better) than before Brian Kelly took over the team. He didn't sink a ship that was taking on water, he stabilized it. And let's not forget, the ship was sinking in part because of iCoach's influence. During is very brief tenure as acting head coach, the team could have gone to a bowl game, but decided instead to quit on their season. That says a lot to me right there.
  20. At the national level, England is not much better than we are, if at all. They just happen to have big name, EPL stars. I expect that Zakuani is being loaned to a big club in Europe during the MLS off-season, which benefits his career tremendously and potentially brings big dollars to the Sounders and MLS. Win-win all around unless he gets injured. Z.I.P. sighting in 3, 2, ...
  21. I'll reveal what I know. I know that we're winless with only two games to go. I know that we have a coach who the players hate and who resents his players. I know that our coordinators don't know how to call plays. I know that our position coaches have made the players at their positions worse than they were last year. I know that the athletic director doesn't care about the few hardcore fans that remain. I know that Akron will not be able to sell any football tickets next year. And I know that absolutely none of this bothers the AD or head coach. +1. And any fans who remain in support of the program via finances and attendance are only contributing to the problem. Might as well give an alcoholic a ride to the liquor store because in much the same way, you are being an enabler. Bottom line, if the support dries up, so will iCoach's tenure. It can't happen soon enough.
