  1. Just goes to show the kind of respect the MAC currently has. I expect Miami, Akron, Can't, and Ohio all to beat those spreads. WMU versus Indiana should be a great game!Great OOC win by BGSU over Minnesota. I also hate to say it, but Can't's win at Iowa State was also quality. A good weekend for the MAC and very poor for the BIG Ten IMO.Cheers.
  2. I can't imagine a better leader for UA than Dr. Proenza! Here's to hoping that he stays with the University for another 5+ years...
  3. The only school in that listing that should compete with us in terms of program strength and momentum is Bucknell.
  4. Amen.

  6. I don't think Can't is even worthy of setting foot on this field! Can't State is already KDs bitch?...Could the stadium be enough to make the same now true for JD?
  7. Here is what we've all been waiting for:http://www.uakron.edu/stadium/I'm not disappointed one bit!
  8. I don't think we'll fare as poorly as 5-7 either.
  9. What the hell kind of a mascot is a penguin anyhow? At least a kangaroo is athletic.

  11. So who do you have us playing in the MACC and in a bowl game?...How will we fare in these events?
  12. Perhaps you'll recall who the leading scorer in the league is (by clicking on the Statistics link)?...Yep, that's right, former UA all-Regional player from 1998 when this Zips finished ranked#11.I tried walking on that year and was told that I'd have to beat out Michael Apple (all-American) and Eller for a starting position if he were going to take me because the roster was already 26 deep for a line-up of 11 and about 15 who regularly play. In other words, he didn't want another bench warmer. I'm no slouch though...I'm still #8 on that scoring list!
  13. I believe you're referring to Kirk Harwat who now plays in the same league I do: www.northcoastsoccer.com. He plays for the club Giocatori.
  14. I hope there isn't an accident there from all the drivers pointing and laughing at there stupid marketing slogan: "Every Minute."
  15. I'm surprised this Redhawks idiot didn't put our school name on a sweater!
  16. Nevermind: http://www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/17359469.htm
  17. Why would the UA want to purchase part of the Quaker Square complex and the Crown Plaza Hotel? I believe Mr. Curtis help rediesign the Crown Plaza Hotel from silos, but these properties are on the opposite corner from the stadium and aren't directly continuous with the rest of campus because of the railroad tracks.I'd like the Nation to provide some insight here.
  18. Long overdue! It will be nice to have a facility that is commensurate with the accomplishments of the program.
  19. We just added Woman's Golf as a varsity sport for the 2088-2009 season!http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_...0&ATCLID=921213It's nice to see us adding sports and growing unlike OU that is cutting many athletic programs. If we add a men's sport in the future, I'd like to see it be tennis as it provides parity with the woman's program and should be one of the least expensive programs to run.Go Zips Woman's Golf!Let the debate begin...which woman's athletic program will have the most physically attractive team members?...Golf or Tennis?
  20. "Even though he (referring to Getsy) was mobile..."This writer just lost all credibility in my book. Has he seen Getsy try to avoid a rush or is he confusing Frye and Getsy?
  21. Does anyone know anything about Derick Tabar other than his name? This kid look phenomenal!
  22. I want to know who #2 is!...What do we need to do to get him?
  23. Getting back to this addition to the conference, Hartwick is actually the strongest addition the MAC could hope for here. Their history in men's soccer is very positive as previously mentioned.I agree though that if the MAC loses a school in the future and cannot find a replacement (hence losing the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament), we should opt for the Big Ten or Big East in men's soccer. Our program is strong enough to be very competitive in either of those conferences.
  24. I bet the team is disappointed. Oh well, this is becoming one of our stronger programs and I think the success will continue in the future. Beating Can't is always a bonus!
