  1. I'm trying to listen to the game over the net from:http://www.sportsradio1350.com/pages/listen_live.htmlThe connection works, but I'm getting nothing but static. Is the game broadcast working for anyone else? I've tried everything I can think of with my computer, so I don't think there is anything wrong locally. Please let me know...I was looking forward to listening to the game and am very frustrated.
  2. Get on the other's schools' internet boards and blogs and explain that to them then!
  3. I strongly argue that tha Sun Belt Conference and Converence USA are worse than the MAC. However, the MAC is the worst it's been in years.
  4. http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/10686306.htmlI've said it before and I'll say it again, the best way for this to work out is for CSU to be formally integrated into the NEOUCOM MD program where UA cedes its positions in the program to CSU. NEOUCOM would then be incorporated into UA at a new downtown medical campus with a formalized academic medical center incorporating Summa, Akron General, and Children's Hospitals. This would give northeastern Ohio three major academic medical centers (Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and University Hospitals of Akron) that would compete with each other locally, but would also be nationally and internationally prominent (the other two in Cleveland already are). This would make northeastern Ohio a haven for medical companies and would give the economy a long overdue boost.
  5. I think we've earned a position in ESPN's bottom 10 for this collapse...not the kind of publicity we need.I agree with the comments that we don't have noticeably better talent than other MAC teams as the recruiting rankings might indicate. That's b/c our talent that is recruited never makes it to the field or plays a year and is gone (e.g. Harvey).
  6. I just realized we just lost our homecoming game to a team that hasn't won on the road in ~15 games!...How embarrassing. The only two positive things to pull from this game:1) Jabari has yet again proven that he can't be stopped when we actually try to get him the ball, and2) Iveljic looks solid and is only a freshman.
  7. I'm furious. Once again, we get scorched in the second half because the other team makes adjustments and we come out playing a flat game.A one-dimensional QB, no throws to Arthur, running right into their blitz on 3rd and 2 when we can close out the game...it doesn't take a football mind to figure out how to fix these things, so why can't the coaches seem to do it?
  8. As if it couldn't get any worse, we get an intentional grounding penalty? What a terrible game! The offensive play calling cost us this game!
  9. We're done...there will be no miracle like there was last week.
  10. We're really in trouble. We had this game in the bag, but played not to lose.
  11. Our conservative offensive play calling kills me.
  12. It's nice to see that Can't is playing to their potential. At least our game against OSU was respectable.
  13. Moderators, please move this discussion to a more general UA forum. In my opionion, the ideal changes would be moving the medical school to Akron and incorporating it with UA and discontinuing YSU's tiny engineering program while giving the current professors and students the option of continuing their careers at either UA or CSU. In a trade off for receiving the medical school, UA would be removed from the consortium in that it would not educate students in the undergraduate part of the program. CSU should then be added to the consortium.
  14. Here is another:http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?p...owlprojections6
  15. The comish sounds like a real dufous without a real lon-term plan for the MAC. No wonder our men's basketball team couldn't get an at-large bid to the NCAA OR NIT Tournaments. He needs replaced for the overall good of the MAC and we need to continue winning in men's basketball, football, and soccer and have great attendance for all three so that we can have future prospects for the Big East. As it is, the MAC is destined to be a second-tier division I-A conference.
  16. The temporal fluctuations are probably due to time zone differences where most people voting for UA are in the east and those for UCLA are in the west. Most people probably vote when they get into work, so...
  17. I agree with everything you said. I was going to post something similar, but now there is no need. Well done!I'd also like to add that even with our difficult schedule, the only game that was ugly and uncompetitive was the last against UConn. I think as the season goes on, we'll come to see that OSU will be ranked in the top three the rest of the way, IU will have at least an 8-4 record, and UConn will be 10-2 (probable losses at UC and WVU), and Can't will be bowling with at least a 7-5 record (as much as I hate to say it). I was one of the first to say the game against UConn was over before the start of the fourth quarter started, but I'm proud and satisfied with the results so far this season. If we continue to improve, I see no reason we shouldn't be competing for the MAC East and MACC.Cheers and GO ZIPS!
  18. ...and getting dominated and are unable to punch it in on the goal line on 4th down.
  19. I'd say go for it, nothing else to lose. However, I don't see it happeni9ng b/c we seem to be more concerned with losing respectably than winning the game (e.g. Ohio State).
  20. I'm still here and listening too, but I'm being realistic about the outcome.
