a nice pick up for Can't. they have done a nice job getting db's drafted in the past few years. i really haven't heard anything about the last scholly so i was just guessing. anybody have an idea of who we're looking at? maybe britt? again just shot in the dark

was able to listen to the last first hour interview and the jd interview. the bucknuts guys was asked about most of the big ohio verbals and on top of the bice comments said that fleming was in his top 20 for the state and could grow into a de. schuler was one of the hardest hitters in the state and pachuta is at a big ten/osu level. also said glimer was a sleeper. the jd interview was very possitive but he has to be. loved the fact that he said he went outside and watched them tear down the dorms! just a guess but the loi he could be waiting on: avery, pleasent, thompson, or torrence.

wasn't looking for a vague response. does anyone know anything specific? should we take a chance on him? i think maybe so, even if it means him not playing his first year. let me put a disclosure on this: as long as the rest of the class are locks to qualify.

up 16 now! the team is on fire! most of the youngsters came to play. roberts has played great mcness has 4 three's in the second half. bardo has 4 blocks and nate is playing great! good to see with wood and ced playing hurt and dials not having his best game. this could be the game to look back at when the season is over

anybody else listening to the game? sloppy play and poor shooting. wait have we heard this before? jimmy and ced both had played and played poorly. b mcknight can't guard his shadow. the team has mostly gone to zone, something kd never wants to do. nate and roberts are playing very well and knocked ut's lead from 13 to 5 at the half. ut only plays 8 guys so i still expect a win but kd can not be happy with the first half!

does anyone have any information on Davoe Torrence? Word on the street is that ohio state pulled his scholarship. maybe akron can sneak in and get the ath. from canton?

i drove down from cleveland to watch the game with family (montross area) only to find the game wasn't on. then i called the winking lizard (the same one that broadcasts zips live) and they said they had the game. i raced over only to find that they didn't have it either! we all sat around the radio and listened to the game. very upsetting!

SR. and JR. but both will have the oppurtunity to earn a 5th year if they are on course to graduate. very similar to corner and paris

now the the first half of the season is officially in the books i wanted to get your thoughts on who was the mvp for the first half? akron has been a team in every sense of the word this year with a different person stepping up every game. some may say nate, some may say dials and his leadership. but if i had to give out an mvp for the fist half i'd split it with mcness and j wood. there's no question that wood is the most outstanding player and this play and leadership could guide akron to a mac title. even with j wood playing so well there's no question that akron would not have the record it has with out mcness. his ability to run the team when dials is beat and hit timely threes is essential to the zips success. i liken him to when ced took his game to another level a few years back giving akron that extra weapon. well, what do you guys think?

he'll sit if he comes here. akron only graduated one starter and bates slips into the center spot. if not him then simkovich (sp). he'll be a red shirt. jd and his staff are just good recruiters

i would love to see the mac do what the a 10 has done in the past two years. the conference is broken down into 3 tiers from last seasons records and to top teams play the top teams twice and so on. it makes for higher rpi's for the best of the conference and increases the chances for an at large bid. this also would go along with o zone's theory of less cup cakes.

this is not a new thing but the locations do change every year. since the field house opened they have hosted an event sponsered by scout or rivals. indeed it's great for the program. in addition Akron still holds their own camps.

who was the kid and what school did he end up at? and if you want J.D. to recruit a top ohio qb look no further than Miller this year although i'd like to see them make another run at Britt (haven't heard anything about it yet).
