would much rather have NIU that sf/de that plays for CMU is a nightmare for Akron. NIU shot over 60% from the field and Akron still should have one the game. Also playing NIU the game will not be as physical and Akron will be in better shape against WMU.

loved the fact that bubba and dials were some of the top trash talkers in the league. would've loved them to have been mic'd up for that last game in athens!

The PD has their MAC tourny write up and have a piece called the captain's choice awards. In this article they asked the captain's of each team to vote on certain subjects. I thought it was very interesting. Love to hear some of you thoughts.click me

for once i agree that the ref's were bad but they didn't favor anyone. no consistency with the flow of the game. Can't's guards are too quick for akron. while i agree that roberts didn't bring much to the table on O his on the ball defense against fisher in the second half was big. i would like to see him get more min. if they play again. another guy i'd like to see get more time would be b. mcnight. aside from wood he's the only tough match up for Can't. put him on singeltary on D and have him run high low with wood. Can't had a hard time with that. streaky shooting all year. thought they fixed it with their ball movement recently. they need to have crisper passes to get better looks. i feel a little better the day after and am ready for the Q on thrus!!!!!

a few thoughts i'd like to add1. i think k.d. did a fantastic job yesterday. seemed to keep the team fresh, spread the floor and slowed the game down and fed the post when williams was out, offensive and defensive subs. 2. with c. mcknight stepping up his game this team reminds me of last years team with wood and mcknight playing hi low and the guards moving the ball around to get open shots. this is the best ball movement the team has had all year! 3. i didn't count but this was the most amount of dunks that i've seen in the k.d. era. way to attack the hoop.4. nit picking here but when you get to the one and one point with 10 min to go you need to take advantage of it. they really should have opened up the game at that point.5. about a week ago i suggested that akron go to the zone since they couldn't guard anyone. man was i wrong. got to give props to coach and major props to ced and c. mcknight. with ced playing the passing lanes and mcknight getting a little more physical on the blocks it has really opened things up for the zips.can't wait for sunday and for the tourney to start!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go leakin' urinal.they are a garbage paper, hopefully one day we can live in a Akron without crappy agenda filled news....and hey, anyone got 1 extra ticket that i could buy off them for Sunday? I have one idiot friend who didn't get his ticket even though i reminded him every day for 2 weeks. He will pay for it....and a student ticket would do even.i wasn't a journalism major but the heading was Can't State vs UA and that would be grammatically correct. while if the heading was Can't vs Akron then they would have flipped it. true the abj isn't that great but they have increased their coverage of UA over the past 3-5 years. hey, it's a start.

i called the ticket office to see if that included student tickets and they said yes. they gave out tickets on friday and if there were any left they were available to the public. i would assume the same goes for zippy passes. i am happy i already bought my tickets in advance see you guys at b-w's and at the game!

up 7 with 15 min to go nate just picked up his 4th foul and has yet to score. frenchy has said the game is horrible and 10 times so far. also with 2 min to go ohio has scored 14 pts. against miami :blink:

only up 4 at half. very sloppy game. more t.o. than assists. ced playing very well again. leading all scorers with 11. they handle the ball better in the 2nd half and step it up after k.d. reems them during the break and they'll be fine.

it's simple really the next coach would rather have size, speed, or both. the next coach always thinks they can "coach up" talent rather than draft a guy like blackburn who has gotten the most out of his body and with a ton of heart made a nfl roster. i agree that ja doesn't have the best hands and nate doesn't have a ton of heart but they are both huge for their respective pos. ja will be drafted for sure, i am guessing 5-6th round and someone will take nate based on his size alone. remember allemen was drafted so high up because of all that he did at akron, it was his size, speed, and upside that landed him in the 3rd round (maybe 4th).....also good joke on the 3-3-5

if the MAC gives them a home game on the 13th it will not be that bad although it's sad to be ok with three road games every year. i sure hope this changes once the info is dropped!

if he can run in the 4.5's some team will take a flyer on him. it's hard to find big productive wr. and speaking of size, don't be surprised to see big nate get drafted. he may not have a high motore (heart) but he has size and is athletic. with a weak wr. and dt. class, look for both to get drafted and corner and tate to get an invite.

i am not knocking either way of scheduling but just a question.....since can't's way has worked so well in the past then why haven't they received an at large bid in the pat 10yrs? i'm not saying....i'm just saying....
