i agree.... the reason i put the info up was to talk about the recruits akron got this year not to talk about the indoor facilities. todelo had a good class as well just not as good as ours. akron's class rivals some of the bcs schools and i wanted to share that with the nation! if you have any comments on akron's recruiting class please feel free to add on. if not, start your own topic.GO ZIPS!

yeah toledo has been great and will continue to be a very good program (unless your coach has a heart attack) but we are focused on what our program has accomplished in such a short period of time. in that time frame we have caught up with the top teams in the conference and have done that with a poor (at best) stadium. we have the mo working for us and about to take it to another level i hope that ut can follow and help the mac become a better conference. with that being said our class is way better than yours! GO ZIPS!

yep that is right we are hosting the big east tack championship this year .... there were some scheduling conflicts with su so the conference looked for a school that was close and had the facilities and hotel space to host and akron was their choice!GO ZIPS!

poor facilities, porr fan base, poor team, Can't is a graveyard for coaches i'd rather take the ub job at least what little fans they have there seem to care about the programGO ZIPS!

7 mi. is too far for students.... they want to drink and walk over to the game and walk home if they want...not all students have cars and the bus system, while nice, isn't what the students want and that is easy accessGO ZIPS!

unless you know some rich uncles that need to get rid of some money a dome is too expensive..... we need to make this the nicest looking stadium in the mac and with the money we have to spend 30k seats makes sense. i just hope it has lots of press boxes, and jumbo screen, a on site medical facility, amost others all top of the line stuff!GO ZIPS!

you both are right... coach brookheart said they needed depth and were recruiting size and speed with this class we get both....does anyone have any thoughts on the ohio varsity article yet i think the sleeper will be soutomire (sp)...any thoughts?

we got a jump on these guys as juniors with the scout.com combine last year ...and are to carry that momentium next year with a rivals.com combine!GO ZIPS!

that area would be a bit small...and the school already has a concept for that area drawn up for playing feilds for students......but i think you are on to something and nash is only about 6 houses and the school has bought (i think) half of the property on exchange so it should work.....now if we can only figure out that damn parking situation!GO ZIPS!

i agree that jackson has all the tools.....you heard j.d. in the press conference yesterday....the reason we got all of these recruits from fl. is that he came here. he was one of the best qb's in south fl!!!!! i know that we are pumped about hakes but but will get their time in the sun with jackson as a 3 year starter and hakes as a 2 year starter. and Jacquemain isn't real fast but could become a thrid down type for the teamGO ZIPS!

i like the work zen! but you bring up a good point that many fraturnity houses would be torn down and would ruin the greek villiage concept. with that said i think if you swap the parking area out and put the stadium there that would work and looks like what the university is planning on doing......the only other thing they'll have to do is add some major parking lots...aside from that the plan looks like a winner!GO ZIPS! :macc:
