Just came back from the game. Surprised that SGM didn't start a postgame thread, i'll take the torch. 1 - The 3 pieces of $hit wearing stripes wouldn't let us win the game. (details to be discussed later in the end of this post).2 - Dials was money. WOW !3 - Romeo and J-wood were very good and they should have taken the ball inside more often...we settled for the outside shot a lot.4 - Quade is unfortunately back in the last 2 years form. Lost on the court and doesn't know what he's doing. a little help from him could have won us the game.5 - Cedrick had the shot totally off. One good shot could have been the difference.6 - I am really concerned with KD's recruiting abilities. Our rotation currently consists of all senior/junior (besides Linhart). The Fr/So are unable to contribute anything. As far as the sophomores:a - Everytime Conyers is given a couple of minutes, he keeps throwing those 15 footers that never go in. b - I am the biggest fan of Linhart. I even got into arguments with people on this board defending him. But he is inconsistent and was very bad today.c - let's not talk about Rybak. As far as the Freshmen, 2 of them are redshirting and the third is also unable to contribute.The rowdies were really rowdy, we silenced the 8000 Toledo fans for 38 minutes. It was so sad that at the end of the game with few seconds left, their student section were pointing at us and chanting we can't hear you. That's right, 8000 people were hearing us for 38 minutes. Adding that they were sitting down for 38 minutes. Some thing the rowdies never do.Back to the officiating thing... Fear the Roo, i know you're going to jump on my case now with you being the unbiased voice of wisdom etc... but no ! seriously, i was there and i know what i am talking about.I would understand if a ref wants to call tic-tac fouls but at least call them on both sides. Look at the stats, we beat them in the FG%, (50% to 48.8%). We beat them in the FT% (90% to 70.4%). We beat them on the boards (28 to 25). We beat them in the steals (8-5) in the 3pt% (37.5 to 29.4). The only thing they beat us in was turnovers (9-13). The difference in the game was the fckin foul calls and their freakin 27 FT. It seemed like every time the difference grew beyond 5 points, the rockets will go to the FT line in every possession. Let alone the 2 freakin offensive fouls that don't make any sense. And when our post players get fouled and still score, there is a thing called (basket +1 shot) that was called 3 or 4 times on the other side but never our way.And i am not sure if Dru was fouled at the last second 3 point shot (because i saw it from a bad angle), but i am 100% sure that Cedrick was fouled couple of minutes before that on a similar shot.I am so tired and i have to go sleep. it is 1:24 am and Can't state and the MAC refs still suck.

The game on saturday is a must win ! Toledo has two losses and it seems like 99% that they won't loose to anyone in their west remaining schedule.If we loose on Saturday, we will have two losses and a very harsh remaining schedule (including @Can't, @buffalo, @miami, and Ohio). We must win this game and fans must be there in Toledo.Students should join the bus trip and other fans/alums should find ways to go there.

I read Rasor's edge the week before and in no way did i get the impression that he is criticizing the students who produce the game. I have no idea why the student is offended. The university is using cheap labor, low budget material in an old building; the result is a poor gameday production. No body said that it was the student's fault.

Yesterday, during the Bball game, coach porter came to the rowdies seats (south-end) and Chad Welker (one of the Rowdies leaders), introduced him and said that he had something to say.Coach Porter, praised the great job we were doing for the bball team and said that he needs us to do the same during the soccer season to support the zips soccer team. He said that he would do whatever it takes (pizza, wings, etc...) to have this group (rowdies) on the soccer bleachers come august.Very classy individual and showed that he really cares about his team.

Is that the guy calling the game on TW23? As i understand, he went to can't state... so what can you expect. Can't read, can't write and can't make sense when calling a game.I thought that it is our interest for Can't to win, or let me rephrase, for Toledo to loose. So i am not disappointed. Let's hope WMU beats OU. they're in OT.

Can't will loose at Ohio and we have a good shot at beating them too. While Toledo will not lose any of their last five games... I couldn't make it to this game because I was working, but I think there is a J-Wood sign. It says "Shaq of the MAC" or something along those lines. Dru and Quade signs are coming. The exact words of the J-wood sign were: "Shaq o da Mac."I was planning to make a sign that says: "Wow ! knock on the J-Wood." My buddy said that it was stupid, so i backed off . Plus, i don't have any photoshop skills, so my sign would be all text, which doesn't compare to the great things the fellow rowdies are coming up with.

You're totally right, i will park my car in the non existing indoor parking and walk to my class through the heated bridge that doesn't exist.After closing the lower levels of the engineering building, i have to walk for half a mile from my car to the building every day... and if you haven't heard, it is cold.

The lucky bastards aka ohio university just won @ CMU by one point after trailing the whole game by 7 or more points at some points in the game. Damn it !Western Michigan, the team we beat by double score, is currently battling @ miami... Miami 55WMU 54 2:28 remaining.Can't demolished EMU by a trillion point, pretty impressive, but not impressive enough to change the fact that Toledo seems to be comfortably heading towards a win against their archrival BGSU.NIU vs Buffalo, do you care to know the score ? ... that's what i thought !We're currently resting at the top of the MAC east. Tied with Toledo for the MAC lead. Which makes our game next saturday a very important one. That's why we all need to be there to help our team win. If you haven't heard about it yet, if you're a student, you can ride a bus to toledo, get a ticket and a t-shirt and come back the same day, all for $15. It doesn't get any better.

I never heard of Dials leaving, and it doesn't make any sense to me at all. Why would he do that ? playing on a successful team and getting additional exposure can only help him whether he wants to play over seas or go towards sports management (Rick Mcfadden) or even become a high school coach. About the leadership, Cedrick is the man next year and J-wood is not bad either... he is currently not on the spot because Dru and Romeo are ahead of him, next year is a different story.

Both the winner and the loser of the UALR game played another game. We played Gardner Webb. The Tiffin game would have cancelled only if we have won both UALR and Texas tech to play in the finals... which looked waaay out of reach, so the AD scheduled Tiffin.

I think it is too early to worry about next year while we are in the middle of what might be the best season ever in zips basketball history. But since you started it, i am not worried about next year at all. We will have a lot of talent and leadership in 4 seniors in Quade, J-wood, Dials and Cedrick. Add to that a lot of size in Bardo and Sweich. You add Chris McKnight and Linhart and you have a great team.It is the following year that might be a rebuilding team, with Linhart, Conyers and Rybak being the seniors.

PeayMan, no one on this board is trying to diss your school or your team. You made some good points and i agree with all what you said.The problem here is that the system works for the strong instead of encouraging the promissing, hardworking mid major team.Why do we have to go to Nevada (top 25) when we play away, and they don't give us a team from the same caliber at home ? (again no disrespect intended to Peay) but i am sure you know what i am saying.Can't is going to george mason, would they get the same caliber when they play home next year ? good mid major teams obviously struggle to schedule teams every year and instead of getting help from ESPN, they get a punch in the face.
