I am seriously willing to drive to pittsburgh to see this guy playing... it seems like he is a big deal. Who recruited him other than us?
-
I totally agree with that... lets be realistic. BG is a top 25 team and we are not quite there yet. don't get me wrong, i still encourage everyone to attend this game and every other game where someone(s) in blue and gold is competing. However, i would not make any extra effort or make it sound like this one is our most important game of the season.

Is Binghamton a D-I school ? why do we schedule those teams anyways ? it hurts you if you loose and doesn't help you if you win.Great effort from the guys... see you all on saturday.

Today was my first time in a lady zips game and i gotta say that I totally agree with you Bleacher Bum, the women's games are truly great tune ups for our cheers... and plus, i really liked the environment. In those games, the quietness of the court makes us more present and anything we say can be heard by the other players and coaches. I have to say that Duquesne's coach (Dan), the guy that we heckled and made fun of the whole night was such a class act... after the end of the game, he turned towards us and gave us a thumb up and smilingly mumbled some words in what seemed to be applauding the good job that we did. Also, Jodi Kest impressed me during the Rowdies meeting and she keeps doing that... i loved watching every thing she did today. She definitely has a great passion for the game... we have to come up with a cheer for her.

We are still ranked 8... no other MAC team is in the top 25http://www.midmajortop25.com/Which proves 2 things:1 - We are 2 -

Go to: www.youtube.com and search "student section" you will see a whole bunch of things

I am sorry... i want to support the lady zips but some one has to understand that the Browns' game time is not a good slot to schedule other things... Who knows ? may be Mr. Rhoades reads this board.

Talking about stealing cheers, that is straight up O-H-I-O from OU. I know it would be stolen from OU's O-zone (because i've seen them doing it first) and this is where i liked it. But do you think that O-zone people created it ? The NY Jets fans do it as: J ... E... T....S So what are the rules ? we cannot steal Z-I-P-S from OU but we can steal OH-IO from the bucks? and the fear thing from Maryland ?Let's just chant and do whatever makes a nice environment at the JAR and when the "cheering police" show up, i will take care of them

Z (clap) (clap) (clap) I (clap) (clap) (clap) P (clap) (clap) (clap) S (clap)(clap)(clap)Z (clap) I (clap) P (clap) S (clap)Z I P SZ I P S That's by far the best cheer i would love to see... if done right (with the arm motion) and if the band plays along, this would rock the JAR and have the ak-oldies jump in.

This one is big, very big... especially if ORU end up winning their conference !

We had California and Louisville last year in addition to Nevada...It is just they we were blown in all 3 of them.
-
Is Buffalo in Canada ?
-
Is that the only thing that strikes you in the MAC awards/selections ? almost nothing makes sense in the MAC

My buddy left to Oklahoma city yesterday, the pilot couldn't land and they returned and landed in cincy...

The ozone are always great. They were good at the Q but that's nothing compared to seeing them at athens. I gladly make the 3 hours trip every year to see the zips (first of all) and then see the ozone and enjoy being in the "by far" best MAC bball facility.

Analyst, you might wanna re-think your title? where in that article did you see Bubba trashing akron ? Rowdy zip: i have the other side of that chant:North side goes: who needs bubba ?sout side replies: who is bubba ?ohio definitely sucks but not as much as Can't.
-
You're the man Balki...I second that. This chant is horrible, it is not even a chant... it is a commercial for something maybe.
-
Agreed!by the way, can we also agree that ? Who on earth is arguing that ?

Charlie is the man ! I remember crennel in the preseason saying that Charlie's biggest challenge is to be in one piece at the end of the season... he's doing a good job on that. Moreover, a QB does more than throwing balls, if you ever played football, you would know that you need someone who earns the respect of the team and gets them around him... Charlie did that. Check the player's comments.Charlie is probably playing behind the worst OL ever...Charlie is the least paid starting NFL QB.Charlie is playing against deffenses who are continuously blitzing because the browns have no running game (except NY).Yesterday, i was at the game, it seemed like toothlessburger had the time to read the scores and the stats off the videotron and take a short phone call after the snaps and still have time to throw the ball. It was ridiculous. Charlie has never had more than 5 seconds to throw the ball.Check Charlie's latest stats... back to back to int games, imroving passing rates... the man is getting better and better. And believe me, it is not that he is local. If peyton manning/tim brady were standing outside the browns HQ in Berea waiting for the browns to sign them... i would see where you coming from but to bench frye for another tim couch or jeff Garcia or trent dilfer would be plain stupid.

I think that the only explanation to the time change is that the people in the AD don't want us to be there in the game. First of all, you see a horrible football schedule that sucks, plain and simple. you go blame it on the MAC who hate us and on Mike thomas who screwed us up before he left. After that, you see the stupid BBall schedule, where you only play a single (probable and stupid) home game before Dec. 9th so you blame it on the other teams who are scared to come play us at home.To top it all, the only home game in the first 5 weeks of the schedule (even though a horrible game) but you still feel that you want to be there to see your team but the AD screws you again... WTF ! the geniuses in the AD do not give any reason for the change and do not even care to hear the fans. What is the next thing going to be ? schedule games at midnight ? or may be new years eve ?I know that none of the AD people come here or care to know what the fans think but maybe someone can deliver this message:Mack Rhodes, Hunter Yurachek (sp):you don't want us to be there ! fine, we won't...

Dude, we barely got the Akron media to care!
-
It doesn't matter that much. Beating Gardner Webb won't skyrocket our RPI... And by the way, i have a hint to the genius who scheuled the Tiffin game on Sunday at 2:00pm: "Not a lot of people would miss the browns-steelers game to watch the zips taking on a division (?) team."Would it hurt too much to schedule the game at 5:00 after the Browns game is over?

Not very

It is not size, not fouls and not turn overs... check the FT percentage (both ours and theirs). Why can't we enjoy any successful (full) season ever?

Don't count on that, the scouts like his arm, and in that case, scouts will overlook a less than stellar college career. Remember when the Browns drafted Spergon Wynn? He was a 1-aa quarterback who didn't even complete 50% of his college passes. I don't think Luke will be drafted but he'll get a shot in camp with somebody. Alleman will probably go late 6th to early 7th based on stellar workouts. Reid is too slow and will end up in Canada. Gonzales doesn't have good size (height, he's not the 6'2 he's listed at, more like 5-10) but will get a free agent contract somewhere. I agree with you that Luke got the arm and may be the accuracy too. But that is not good enough for the NFL. Luke is too soft, he is scared to run and scared to use his hand to push a linebacker away and the worst part is that whenever a linebacker is 2 yards or less from him, he just considers the play over and throws the ball away... no scrambling, no last second pass no nothing.
