Growing up in Ohio, it's very easy to be an OSU fan. I've rooted for OSU up until my freshman year in college. It's hard to not root for them with how much media coverage they get. That's what turned me off as a fan of OSU. I first realized that Akron gets no respect from the local populous and then realized that supporting OSU only encourages the media to continue on with there disrespect towards my school. I'm an Akron student and my heart belongs to the Zips. If a school far south is causing the local newspaper to disrespect my team, I'm going to want change. That change comes with OSU loosing.BuckZip, I understand your situation and have nothing against you rooting for OSU. It's people like sgm that blows my mind. Akron alumni and students that root for OSU gives the Akron Beacon Journal and the Plain Dealer a reason to continue putting OSU on a pedestal.I'm sorry if my anti-OSU attitude offends anyone. The only way it ends is when OSU is treated like OU, Cinci, or any other Ohio college that's not local in the Beacon Journal or the Plain Dealer. Akron or Can't should always be first in those papers. This community needs to realize that Columbus is not the only city in Ohio with a D1 school.

That's weird, When I went up the the jar to find out about the OSU tickets, there were only 10 left, that was last Friday. Are you sure Rivals knows what they're talking about? You also have to have one student ID for each student so it was hard for students to buy tickets in the bunches without their friends student IDs.

We play the #1 team in soccer on Friday and the Suckeyes in football on Saturday.I don't know which game to be more excited for. A chance at knocking off the Suckeyes, or beating the #1 team in soccer. It's going to be an exciting weekend. Hopefully we win them both.

somebody needs to donate a Dale Carnegie book to sgm. He is one of the worst I've ever seen at trying to convince someone to think his way. Even George Bush does a better job than this kid. At least he's not writing his 10 page responses anymore.

hey sgm, you can enjoy your job, your white picket fence, and your middle class lifestyle. There's happiness in that, and I could follow that path easily with a degree in Accounting. But I'm aiming for the stars while on this planet. People who are frontrunners are the ones that don't dare to dream.But hey, one day you'll read about a guy from Akron that accomplished amazing things because he dared to dream big. ps. if you're tired of seeing the section 8 people running in and out of the Mayflower, I've been trying to figure out better uses for that building. I'm planning trips to Chicago, NY, and Boston to get ideas visiting buildings about what would work in Akron. like mentioned above, it didn't get exciting until within 9 minutes of the game. UAB almost made a shot at the last second. Akron and UAB looked very good and will both be in the NCAA's.

I'm not calling you a frontrunner but I've seen so many retarded Akron students and alumni wearing OSU clothing and every time I do, I laugh at them because they'll be nothing in life. People who think small are frontrunners. People who can't dream. People who don't see the point in rooting for there own school because they have yet to accomplish great deeds at a national level. People who don't know what overcoming adversity is all about. So be it. They can root for the winners, but they’ll always be losers.
