  1. What we can't see is the Block O in the top corner of his notepad that he "prepared" these questions on.
  2. We need more media and more intelligent media covering this team.
  3. Silver lining: one of Dawson's biggest positives is his teamism capabilities. The reason we love him off the bench is he plays hard and always supports his teammates. The support aspect can and will still happen. I hope the team rallies around him and steps up in his on-court absence.
  4. +1. I'm a big fan of the rebranded A, and with that has come some incredibly nice uniforms.
  5. My memory matches this timeline as well, but it's still somewhat hard to explain.
  6. I would love to know what happened with Bowden's regime. Wins against Pitt and Northwestern, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl win, MAC Championship Game appearance, then the program just seemed to hit a brick wall and actually went backwards - quickly. Regardless, I think the accomplishments Bowden had will be surpassed by Moorhead eventually.
  7. How are Arth and Bowden in the same category? Also, how did you figure 5 games was long enough to judge JoeMo against Arth/Bowden?
  8. When Bowden became HC, he inherited a similarly depleted program his 4 year plan was Lose Big, Lose Small, Win Small, Win Big. In year 1 of JoeMo, we're already losing small - one to a team that is probably a year or two ahead of us, and one to a team that we beat ourselves more than they beat us. Through 5 weeks, the holes in this team are obvious. Special Teams, Offensive Line, and the entire Secondary. Zero concerns with that being solved via recruiting for next year and beyond, but what can be done to salvage this season with those groups? That will be interesting to follow. Love the offense and can't wait to see it ran with a more formidable offensive line. Beat OU.
  9. From a Sept. 12th tweet... 2023 Choctaw QB @WaselSteele 🎯 2 game totals 36/53 482 yds 7 TD’s 195 rushing 1 TD
  10. On a bored, slow Friday at work, I decided to take a stroll over to bobcatattack.com just to see what the wannabe blOSU Southeast Campus folks were saying about their athletics. You're not going to hear me say this often, but credit to the Carole Baskin Kitty Krew for putting together quite the MAC Basketball Transfer tracker. Feel free to check out the full thread here. A synopsis... - 4 inter-conference transfers - 3 arrivals to the MAC via Duquesne (1 departure to Duquesne) - 8 P6 transfers into the MAC (does not include Emoni Bates; 4 departures to P6 schools, including Josh M'Balla to Ole Miss)
  11. Now you're just trying too hard to get back in good graces. Haha. Full heartedly agree, though, that this is a must win. Every MAC game is a must win, especially given our recent lack-of-domination in this pathetic excuse for a conference.
  12. If you give JoeMo the rosters that Arth had, I think we would've been closer to .500 in MAC play during that stretch. That's how much I believe in JoeMo and his staff. To fill a G5 program with P5 coaches, no matter their experience, goes a long way. We see more and more connections and statements that prove JoeMo has quite the positive reputation in the college football coaching world, and he's our guy.
  13. This is his protégé. Played for Joe at Penn State, and was a Grad Assistant at Mississippi State under Joe. Ask Michigan how well having a JoeMo protégé on staff worked out for them. Spoiler alert: they beat OSUcks, and JoeMo's game plan while he was at Oregon (and beat OSUcks) was credited, which Josh Gattis (former assistant under JoeMo at Penn State) copied. Interestingly enough, Gattis went to Miami to be their OC under Cristobal. So Mario filled the JoeMo void with a piece of the JoeMo coaching tree.
  14. This was the wise and safe decision. As we found out last year, the MAC is no longer a cake walk for us to win easily. Every MAC game matters as much as the gauntlet that was the first part of our schedule. Stay focused, and we can go undefeated in MAC play. Lose focus, like we saw against OSUcks, Pitt, Penn State, etc., and we'll be putting ourselves in holes that we may not be able to get out of.
  15. Which took a couple years to develop and come into its own. I like Tavari, too, but I'm looking at next year and beyond for him to really be impactful.
  16. To roughly quote Ricky Bobby... With all due respect, and remember I am saying with all due respect, the idea of not putting your best staff on your top 25 soccer program ain't worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.
  17. Conservative Zips by 1 score. However, I am really looking forward to seeing this offense against similar level talent for once. Liberty is the barometer by which I can most closely judge where our program is. Does BUGS have a similar or better RB than Dae Dae Hunter (Liberty RB)? Probably not. Does BUGS have a better front four on defense than Liberty? Probably not. Those, along with poorly-timed drops and an INT, were why we lost to Liberty. We were 26.5 point underdogs, and that line never changed even after Liberty's starting QB was announced to be out. If our offense gets going, I think this could be a 2+ score victory by the Zips. However, I will error on the side of shooting ourselves in the foot a couple of times to keep it closer to a 1 score Akron victory.
  18. Liberty was -26.5. These lines are useless at times.
  19. @TennZip this is the last time I trust anything you post. 😉😂
  20. The news I was referring to was the new and improved head coach, while the last head coach beat them twice in a row.
  21. They played James Madison twice - and back-to-back to boot?
  22. 1G: X > Clarke 2G: Tribble > Prather Jr. > Johnson 3G: Hankerson > Dawson F: Freeman > Lyles/Mosengo F: Hunter There's my starting 5 and my guess at the rotation.
  23. I don't know if the news got lost in the corn fields for them, but they lost the last 2 meetings to an Arth-led squad that only ever beat BG at the FBS level. Arth is no longer here, and Moorehead is leagues above most coaches - if not all coaches - in the MAC. Failing to mention the coaching change within the first two pages of the game thread is embarrassing.
