How cool. Who knows - maybe he develops into a scholarship player? At the very least, it lays the foundation to build a pipeline from the NFL Academy to Akron.

I had speculated earlier in one of the threads about Mr. Lewis that there might be a connection with Reno Ferri from his time at 'Cuse. Regardless, I don't think JoeMo is unknown to these players. This is the guy that produced one of the top offenses in college football in back to back years with Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley, ultimately sending Barkley to the NFL as a top 5 draft pick. He is as good of an offensive mind as any of the schools on that list have on their respective staffs, if not better. Not to mention his reason for coming to Akron is incredibly down-to-earth (family), and he seems very genuine. It's not hard to sell himself to recruits, and there are worse places than Akron in the world.

15-18k on week nights happens when you're a special team, which I think under Moorhead we can and will be. Toledo wasn't special this year.

This is probably my all-time favorite. The video is a bit blurry, but the Rowdies disguised themselves as KSUcks students, handed the students this banner, and told them to unfurl it towards the AK Rowdies in the upper section of the MACC. The sign reads "WE SUCK"

This is a classic. That era of AK Rowdies deserves to be in the Akron Athletics Hall of Fame. Here's another classic from that era. I believe this was from the Akron Football win over KSUcks in 2007(?) when they missed the FG in OT. It's so easy to hate that school.

Welcome to college athletics during COVID. I was watching Butler the other day (they were at home against I believe a top 25 team). Hinkle Fieldhouse was half empty.

I said this exact same thing in early December when we were discussing Getsy as a candidate (earlier in this thread). It really is crazy to think about considering where they're all at now.

Agreed. 20-25k on the weekend games, 15-18k on the week night games. That would be fantastic. I also think we have the opportunity to push closer to 20k on week nights if we become a Cincy/Coastal Carolina/UCF/ULL type of G5 program - 1-2 losses on the season, beating P5 schools, etc. Moorhead is going to run a fun offense with talent at every position. People like watching good football, and good football is going to be in Akronites' backyards.

If the trends like we're seeing at Jackson State continue, they'll be forced to put more effort into non-P5/AAC schools.
