  1. If the visit still happens after his GT visit on the 21st, I don't think it matters what the weather is. Excellent weather, P5, and closer to home. Vs Moorhead, Moorhead's offense/offensive mind, immediate playing time, and no less of an opportunity to make a name for yourself/get to the League. Two very different priority lists. Let's hope the latter is what is most important to Mr. Lewis. Side note: I wonder if he has any connections with Reno Ferri since Syracuse offered him presumably while Ferri was still there?
  2. What an offer list! There are only two schools he is warm on: Georgia Tech and Akron. Other offers (at least at one point) include Syracuse, Kentucky, Pitt, Indiana, Coastal Carolina, Boston College, Arkansas, App State, and Southern Miss.
  3. Love this team. Their commitment for the full 40 minutes is what stands out. We beat OU with Trimble. PCCC falling to NIU is hilarious.
  4. Looks like he was originally a Moorhead commit. Wow. Wow. Wow. This is fun.
  5. Getsy pumps... He throws for Hixon and it is... CAUGHT! FOR A TOUCHDOWN! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Good luck to Luke in this interview process!
  6. This is impressive and matches the ambition it took to get Moorhead.
  7. Or is it selfish to want a player to risk a career-altering injury for the betterment of the team in a meaningless game, designed in the first place to make money for corporations/media/Universities/NCAA figureheads?
  8. 20 year old kids mitigating risk in order to best preserve millions of dollars in life changing money is not a disturbing trend. What are 994 (really 998) out of the 1000 bowl games about in the first place? Money. Good for Charlie Batch for supporting his alumni. I have zero problems with this. It's been going on for YEARS at the P5 level. Maybe not $1 million directly/so openly, but these kids received all sorts of lifestyle benefits that would equal out to huge sums of money.
  9. If you put their names together, you can spell MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS, BOWL GAME VICTORIES, and KENT STATE SUCKS. Sam Popper is the Director of Player Personnel/Recruiting. He comes from Oregon, where he was the Asst. Director of Recruiting/Offense.
  10. Tremendous praise for him via a Google search. LSU, Wyoming, Kansas, and Pitt experience in recent years. Hardly misguided. The greatest coaches of all time had to come from somewhere, and that somewhere almost always includes being a GA at the beginning of their respective careers. I'm not saying we have the next Nick Saban or Urban Meyer on this staff, but I do believe we have the right guy at the top to identify and develop bright football minds & leaders. Coaching starts at the top, and JoeMo is about as good as it gets at the G5 level. If you look at the staff, the GAs are surrounded by quite a bit of experience. Fessler, for example, will be directly under JoeMo, and surrounded by Reno Ferri and Terry Richardson (multiple decades of experience). On defense, DeLattiboudere and Bell will be under Toth. Not to mention all of the experience on the staff includes P5. It's the perfect mixture of experience and youth in my opinion.
  11. Except Bubba Walther.
  12. Guards' league. PCCC doesn't scare me as much as OU because I don't think they have the compliment to Carry like OU does with BVP/Carter (complimenting Sears).
  13. This is wrong on so many levels. Makes sense, though, given the funding connections between Big Pharma and Universities. Has the CDC included college basketball in its COVID mortality statistics yet? It has been all but dead and extremely hard to enjoy since March 2020.
  14. Didn't realize he even left for Kansas.
  15. I'm not normally a sucker for the BS "by the numbers" graphics that the media likes to fling around like food in a middle school cafeteria food fight, but DAMN are those impressive numbers. What. A. Hire. 6-0 in rivalry games. @seanlewis 👀
  16. What's with the mass exodus at Canada and Directional Michigan - Middle?
  17. It lasted the perfect amount of time because we were able to get Guthrie in here, then land JoeMo.
  18. Noonan on Hallenberger… “Josh is a very active attacking winger and is a player who we have had on our radar for a long time. He was a highly sought-after player and someone we are excited to have contributed to our team.” YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
  19. This. By the way, regarding stars/all-time recruits for Akron, the majority came during the Reno Ferri's/Moorhead's first stint with Akron, where Ferri delivered the #1 recruiting class in the MAC for 4(?) straight years.
  20. 6'1" CB. Offers from UNLV, Buffalo, Colorado State, and UMASS. 6'0" DB. Offers from Eastern Illinois (makes sense given the recent coaching hire from here), Grambling State (Hue Jackson), Nevada, Texas State, and NMSU. 6'4" 270-300 lbs OT out of Ben Davis HS in Indy. Big time offer list. Balls, Boston College, Cincy, Indiana, Kentucky, Purdue, Toledo, and WVU.
  21. Offers from Buffalo, Charlotte, Colorado State, and UMASS. Previously committed to Buffalo. 6'2" WR.
  22. NJCAA National Champion in 2021. His recruitment seems to be picking up. FAU offered him today, Akron yesterday. Previously, his DI offers came from Buffalo, FIU, and WKU. 6'4" turns heads at DB. This will be an interesting recruiting test for Tre' Bell - can the Florida guy lure the Florida guy away from Florida?
  23. We suffered through 2.5 years of the Turnover Pencil. #ZipEmUp is an improvement.
  24. Dijon held offers from Kentucky + 4 MAC schools (EMU, Miami, Balls, and Canada) for at least the past year. However, Moorhead comes in, offers him on the 3rd, and he commits today. Wow. Moorhead's impact is being felt IMMEDIATELY. I love it. He played against some TOUGH central Ohio talent, plus Massillon. Impressive. Love the 3.6 GPA as well.
  25. I repeat: OU is not the better team, they just have better guards. They're beatable, but they are good. VP and Sears are going to be trouble in the MAC for as long as they play in Athens. Groce needs to find his next great guard for this team to be more of a threat. Ali cannot be put in positions where he feels like he has to do it all. Has anybody watched practice? What do the redshirt freshman guards look like?
