we all know that ke wont play him if he cant d.if we have a healthy steward next year we should be ok at point guard.

if williams is switching to db that tells me that johnson must be a stud,and allen will play alott also.you are taking our only game breaker on defense.i hope jd know what he is doing.i saw high school film of johnson,and he out ran everyone.i think everyone is counting on rogers,but forgetting about allen and johnsonat thr rb spot.if we cannot run the ball we will be in trouble.i guess we will see in the spring game.

our defense is fine.we just go through peroids where we dont shoot the ball well.at the same time we can get on roll on score points quickly.i know we lost but this team is never out of game with the thre ball shooters we have.

Can't won 24 games for a reason.as much as i hate to say it they may get an at large bid if they dont implode in the mac tourney in the first game.

skip zip you act like akron is the only team that has never gone to the big dance because the way we schedule.nothing this conference has done, or any team for that matter has worked.we have alsways been a one bid conference.the only reason Can't has gone to the big dance is because they have won the mac tourney.that is the way to the big dance.win the tourney.you act like miami,and Can't go to the big dance every year because of the super schedue.give jd a chance.he has done more for akron b-ball in a few years than anyone except maybe huggins.kd got a team for hip that was in the dumps.we win 20 + games three years in a row,and one nit victory.that does not include what we do this year.i would say going to postseason two years in a row in pretty good for a team that was in the dumps.i remeber when coleman crawford had coached the zips.we played cmu,and scored 8 points in one half.i know alott of zip fans want more,but trust me it could be 10 times worse if kd was not here.

who would akron play if ou wins the last seed.i agree with the one poster.beating any team three in a row is difficult.i would rather play cmu on a neutral court.

die hard i totally agree.they will take a team like the buckeyes,or florida anytime over any at large mac team.the tourney committe can spew on bs they want,but the mac will get one bid almost every year.teams like florida,and osu brings alott fans and $ to these games.i know the committe does pick teams based totally on attendance.at the same time you cant tell me when it comes to the last few teams being selected the bcs schools will get the nod every time over a mac school.

now maybe the people who were talking about the way can't schedules will be quiet.Can't lost to a bg.the way can't schedules also means you have beat a middle of the pac mac team.it would be even better if we beat can't it would be nice to make there last couple of games wothless.

how did the way "Can't schedules motto" help them last year.akron beat them three times.they sat at home last year.if the schedule was so great then they should be in the ncaa every year.how does it help to lose a game to duke,or north carolina.we lost to #10 nevada last year in a close game.did that help us? no.you have to beat a team for it to count not close losses.

the people who want akron to have a harder schedule would be the first one to complain when we dont have a 20 win season.we had plenty of quality opponents to beat lik dayton,vcu ect.if we cannot beat them how are we supposed to win at n.c.and duke? the main reason we got left out by the nit is because they reduced the number of teams.how did the harder schedule help Can't last year.if i re-call we beat them 3x.i like what kd is doing with our program.we play games that winnable not pie in the sky dreams of beating duke,n.c.

Can't plays up and loses all those games to duke.it does no good for a program to play those games,and lose.look at the state of mac football.all the teams play bcs teams and get there butts kicked.how has playing up helped the mac in football.same the thing basketball will happen.

if the basketball teams had two losing seasons in a row everyone on this board would want kd fired.look at the last two football coaches.owens and faust took almost 20 season before they were fired.football for whatever reason football coaches get a free pass.they can have plent yof losing seasons, and keep there jobs.the guy wins 20 games every year,and the fans complain.if kd were to leave who would you get to replace him.any mac coach that has a good year is gone to the power conferences.i guess we could go back to the good old daysof hipsher,and c.crawford.i think the b-ball fans have been spoiled by kd winning right away.

if winning 20 plus games a year is a down year then im all for it.i just dont understand why jd gets free pass in having one good year in which we were just over .500.kd wins 20 games every year and the fans complain.

at least the team has some time before the vcu game to rest.i think the million dollar questions is j.w. for the vcu game.does he play alott? also can he just take up space or contribute.i think there is no way to simulate game speed at practive.the thought of him playing so soon scares me though.

sometimes it does not make any sense to me either.i realize you have to play defense also,but when no one on the team is scoring you can bury a hole for yoursleves.maybe kd will be more comfortable with b.mc night next year i am not going to question kd,but i think he will play a senior over a underclassmen out of loyalty.middleton was giving us nothing for most of the year,and should of had his minuets cut.kd played him and it seems to be working,but i am just pointing the fact out.anyone who says ced should have been playing that much based on performance is full of it.

with all the injuries we have had,and where we are in the mac right now the vcu game does not mean as much.you play to win every game ,but we need everybody healthy at tourney time.plus we need the mac victories to get a bye.i dont see how a win veruses vcu would help if we have tp play aonther mac game.i still think it's a uge risk to play jw in this game.if he goes down our season is over.

just wondering what everyone thought next year about the defensive postions.bain,sewell,grant,jones should all be solid players.i think our d-line will be decent ,but not much depth. it would have been nice to have nate one more year to play with bain in a four man front.i think losing corner,pace,tate is a major concern.the main thing jd needs this year is to get pressure on the qb without having to blitz the house.the situation was not addred last year.sewell with another year should be the guy comng off the corner.does anybody think any of the freshman/jc can contribute.

withe the 3-3-5 defense there area lott of openings on defnese with his size.the big think with this kid is how fast can he run.i thought mark groza was a great example of a kid who worked hard and the last year he turned out to be a decent player

the thought of wood out there this early is scary.if he does play it should 5-10 min each half amolst.i towuld be good for condiation.you cannot simulate game speed in pcatice.still the thought of only hope to win the mac tourney out there this soon conecerns me.

district i did watch the vcu game.im pretty sure that was a foul at the end.the problems most refs will not make a call at the end of the game.a foul is a foul and you guys got robbed.after our loss to niu most zip fans do not know what to make of our team.we are a banged up bunch,but managed to win at bg.i thought you guys had a really athletic team.the only way the zips win this is if we shoot the three lights out.with wood out this makes this alott harder since we have no inside game.good luck.at least both teams will get some airtime on espn.it may be early but airtime is airtime reagrdless

we need to get a bye period.this teams needs as much time to get healthy.

good win by the zips after the diaster at home.i am not going to get to disappointed the next two games is we lose them.miami will be tuff at home.without woods we will have to shoot lights out to beat vcu.zips have to beat buffalo at home.

i know everybody is worried about this team right now.next year is way off but i think it will sort things out on it's own.i think jd is in a jam right now.he is trying to find a good combo on the floor,but at the same time playing his seniors.the only senior right now giving us anything is dials.steward will take the pont next yaer.we will also have roberts,mc neese in the back'court.i just dont think right now we will lose much this year.j.w is a great player but had no given the zips much the last few games.hopefully the zips will pull things together this year,but i think next year the team will be alott better.

one of the reason they shot 65% was because our defense was terrible.we let them get inside for easy shots numerous times,and did not defend the perimter.they shot great but we did not help ourselves by playing bad defense.scoring 88 on our home court was a pathetic performance by the zips defense.
