if you don't like my post don't read them.nobody is making you read anything.if you want to comment fine. if not don't read them.last time i checked there is free speech in america.i will comment on what i feel.at least i actually care about the zips program.you should be lucky because most alums could care less about our team.this shows in the attendance numbers.

see tee jac played terrible today.he is lucky is was not more than 4 int.ball state db dropped about six passes that should have been intercepted.he lost a fumble that led to a td by ball state.he threw into double coverage all day instead of throwing the ball away.the first two games i thought he played great,but not today.

seetee did you watch the same game?we gave up 500 yards on defense today.the defense has been horrible the whole year.i agree we have some injuries on the d-line that is hurting us,but ball state beat the crap out of us today.cuse is probably the worst team in d-1 right now.hopefully the zips can win at army,but we are not a very good football team right now.maybe thing will change if we get healthy,but right now the zips are not very good.we are 1-2 right now not 3-0.zips need to win next week and will be our best chance to win on the road the rest of the season.

i like the a writer blames tipped passes for the loss.i agree there were some passes that were tipped and turned into int.the fact is though cj played a bad game.he threw alott of passes into double coverage that should have been picked off by ball state that were bad decsions.he was lucky to only have four ints.he also fumbled the ball that gave ball state a int.i am not blaming him for the loss because the loss was a truly team effort.if the dl does not get healthy soon it may not matter what cj does.

even if a.allen comes back 100% he does not play defense.unless the defense can stop the other team it does not matter who is at rb.i am more concerned about the dl getting healthy than rb.we have kennedy, and johnson who can get the job done at rb.right now we have no one on the dl who is doing much right now.

we need to get our dl healhty.if not our defense cannot really stop anybody.there is to much pressure on the offense to score 40 plus to win every game.hopefully we can win at army,but the zips cannot take anyone for granted.hopefully the next mac game we can get our d-lineman back.army and cinnci would be nice wins ,but we have to win the next mac game.starting 0-2 in the mac is pretty much out of it.totally disapointed in the offense.cj mayed to many bad decsions.

not to go over this again, but does anyone have infro on lively,and bain.can either of these guys play this week?i have to agree with c k about the rover postion.we need to make a change there.the questions is do we have anybodythat can play that position.i really underestimated the loss of a healthy mackey,and stokes.you can say what you want about nate robinson,but teams did not run like this on us last year.maybe bain can do the job,but so far our dl is getting blown off the ball.

jd has done a hell of job getting some jc recievers in to akron.i have to give him credit for that.our wr corps is a huge upgrade over last year.

buck zip i do agree except our defense has lotts of db/lb types in the ball game at one time.unless jd finds a way to get some quality dl we are stuck with the 3-3-5.i don't like the defense,but i think we have no choice right now.

i also watched the game.i hope we get both dl back for this game.there offense looks good.the zips shoud be able to score some points though.davis had all day to throw the ball;so we need to get some pressure on him.

does anyone know when bain will play.we need him and lively back asap.i do not understand all the offside penalities.no reason for that to happen five times.i watched some of the cuse northwestern game.this is a game the zips can win.they need to cut out the penalties,and no turnovers. jones needs to play on defense all the time.jd has done a good job of getting some new wr;so no need for him to play on the offense.i did not understand the move in the first place.we need to get johnson the ball.the guy can do a little bit of everthing.

i thought the offense played alott better than i thought they would.cj looks to be alott more comfortable in the pockett.the wr seems to be an upgrade over last year.they need to use the te more down the field.the only issue with the offense was the false starts.i still do not understand why we have so many of them.the defense played terrible.jd needs to a.jones on defense full time.wiskey pretty much ran over the zips.everybody knew they were going to run,and akron could not slow them down.how much of that is the loss of our two dl's is hard to say.the next game cuse got beat by n.w 30-10.i think the zips have a chance if we can get healthy on the dl.if cuse saw what i saw today they will try to run,run,and runover the zips.jd needs to get the defense in gear,and soon.

i agree with c/k that jd is not making excuses.no mac team could lose two starting dl lineman and be in big trouble.no mac team can stockpile 280 -300 lbs d-lineman.there is not enough of them to go around in d-1 football.this team needs to be healthy for the mac opener against ball state.the chances of any mac school beating a bcs schoolon the road are not very good/ period.cuse is probably a winnable game,but i can't see losing guys for the season if they are already hurt.having said that there is no excuse for the last two seasons this team had.we are in one of the worst conferences in d-1 football.there is no excuse you can give losing to buffalo/temple,and getting shut out against miami.i am willing to give jd one more year if we can have a 6-6 season.aything less is not exceptable.i could care less if jd is better than owens or faust.all i ask is we be able to compete in the mac every year.if jd cannot get it done this year then akron needs to find a coach who can.

the one postion that his team really scares me,and im sure alott of other people is the qb spot.i don'tunderstand why the only player we signed was one high school qb.jd did go get some jc players/transfersat the dl/ra/wr spots which i give him credit for.i just can't believe there was no player out there for the qb spot.i am not saying the jc route is best all the time,but this team needed a qb.hopefully the two guys we have will do the jobbut it's scary going into whisky from what i saw last year at the qb spot.

i hope we can find enough guys to rotate in the 3-3-5.im sure there are some spots that can be filled by some freshman.our defense was on the field way to much last year.i do give jd credit for trying to get more defense guys on the field this year.it's not easy to put young guys in the game at the start of the season,but you won't develope depth unless some of the younger guys get some reps.we also need help on the dl for depth.i don't see any rfreshman rb,or o-line getting much playing time unless injuries.i wonder of jd will redshirt torrence?.we have allen,kennedy,and johnson right now.

we did not have a true pg last year.i think this year we should be fine at that spot.mc neese can move over to the two spot.i still think we have enough coming back to have a solid team.how good this team will be is going to depend on how the freshman play.conyers is also another wild card.

i would like to play them again,but only if it's at the new stadium.akron cannot afford to build a new stadium, and have seven away games year in year out.nothing agianst ysu its just with the new stadium we need as many home games as possible.

i agree with the one poster on the issue of the qb under center.cj is not a spread type qb,and running the spread does not give you much play action.i just don't see how the offense we run now fits our personnel.you need quick wr for the screen passes,and a fast qb to run the offense.cj scares no one in his running abililty,and the defense does not have to worry about contain.i wish we would go back to a i formation,and split backs.

trimmy you make an excellent point.i just don't think the talent level from the top team to bottom team is that much different.if you look at cmu last year.they lost to a 1-aa team,and gave up 70 points to clemson.

i would hope the coaching staff sees enough in johnson,kennedy,and allen to move williams to defense.the running game needs to improve to keep whoever the qb is out of trouble.i just dont think the spread is a offense where you can have a consistent running game.

jd needs to finish .500 this year.i don't think it's asking alott og finish .500 in one of the worst football conferences.cinni,cuse,and army are all winnable games.the only game where will have our hands ful is whiskey.cinnci will be a tuff game but we have them at home.having said that our offense was not very good last year.i just don't see how cj will make this team much better than last year.i think the defense and special teams will be fine.the big question is the offense production.i just saw to many times last year where the defense was on the field way to long becuase the offense was doing the 123 kick 123 kick dance.hopefully johnson can be the game breaking back williams was last year.we still need better play from our qb,but we have no proven guys to catch the ball.hopefully the new guys at wr,and a qb to throw it to them.i just dont thinkthere alott of difference in any team in the from the top teams.

i don't think the fsu fans and players are making fun of the zips anymore.lol.

if FSU was not motivated to play why did the game go into overtime.if they did't care the game would have ended in regulation.spin it any way you want,but the zips beat an acc team on their home floor.you can make excuses just like the fsu fans did,but they lost.it's funny how when a bcs team lose to a non bcs team their fans make excuses like "the team is not motivated to play". crap.when they win though they have no problem letting everyone in the world know how great acc basketball is.
