It's not a depth preception on the camera. It's looking at the supports on the pressbox side vs the east side. Look at the shot below. You'll notice there more supports on the east side Vs where the upperdeck will hit the pressbox. I believe it was by design to have the eastside upper deck larger.Actually, as I look at the photo you provided (thanx) it appears to me that there is nearly the same distance from the bowl to the back of the stands (or the pressbox on the otherside). I questioned that myself a couple times, and then questioned it again after they started putting up those angled beams a few days ago.I think it's a perspective illusion thing. I think there is probably a lot more distance backwards from the bowl to the press box than what appears, and despite how it appears, there will end up being plenty of room for the stands to be just as large as the east side.It'll be interesting.

I think the main point here (which got lost) is not about the effect of ratings, recruiting, and success, but instead about how likely it is a recruit can be under-rated.... OR, fit into one program better than other one.The off-tangent started with the point that in general you can correlate a statistical accumulative affect of ratings to the overall level of the program, which is probably quite true... but I don't think that refutes the validity to the idea that an individual recruit can turn out to be much better than a rating.... no?

I think this is another sign that the MAC is (though very gradually) improving it's overall gravitas in athletics in our region.I mean, it really all depends on the guy, but I remember a time when athletes would rather sit the bench in columbus than start in the MAC.

I know you were just kidding but let's be honest here. Pot is widely used throughout UA's campus. As are other drugs. It's college. I've never been to Can't's campus so I wouldn't know the atmosphere there, but I'm willing to bet they use as much or less pot then students at UA. I know it's been a running joke(Can't is a hippie school etc) but I can't lie, I've never seen someone do as much acid as this kid a few doors down from me. No, I don't think you guys are understanding the pricing when you say the prices aren't too bad. The 599.00 a month for the 4 bedroom apartment is PER PERSON, because these types of places give out individual leases per bedroom. That's why the smaller the apartment is in terms of bedroom and how many roommates you'll have, the higher the price goes. 650 for 3 bedroom, 699 for two bedroom, etc. If you guys think that's reasonable, you must be richer college students than I was!Yeah, I realized that about a few hours after I posted that. Because of the twelve month lease, it ends up being more expensive than living on campus! I'd be surprised to see this place get many leases.If the accommodations are nicer, then it could carve out a nitch. However, I think you might be right. Why would you spend more money only to be farther away from your classes?If you want to be that far away from campus, you can always rent rooms off campus and spend a LOT less

Yeah, I think it needs at least 24 teams.I always hear about 8 or maybe 16, but playoffs like that doesn't solve the problem of giving a shot to the undefeated outside teams and you end up with the same situation as before with the same lot of teams getting their straws picked at the end of the year.

There's a difference... though I doubt the trustee did anything and it would probably be hard to find evidence even if he did, but it is something that should get cleared up.2 ) The actual sales transactions of the home does not need to be reversed, but some compensation should be required.... a ) from the trustee's son to the university ... for most of the profit that he took b ) from the trustee's son to the original owner... not for much but a punitive/compensatory act (purchasing a property with prior knowledge that it was worth more... some people wont like this, but I think it's different when you have specific insider info)But I don't think this whole thing is a big deal.As soon as I heard that the stadium was going to go there (that was well over 2 years ago now, wasn't it?) I took a quick look around to see what properties were up for sale in the area. Not that I wanted to sell anything to the university... I was actually looking to see what properties would have their values increased because of the changes. It's called prospecting. It happens a lot in real estate. It's not unethical unless you have insider info. When I got it, it wasn't legally insider, because I didn't talk to anyone who had specific knowledge that wasn't public. The trustee's son did. That's the only problem. It's not the end of the world, but it is wrong.
