  1. I saw it and though "ouch, nice dig".I mean, it may be a little bit weak because no one shoots 100% and thus it can always be used, but still, let's not get sensitive. Low class would say "yo mama so ugly"actually, that would be funny too.
  2. "They're plastic bottles...they don't pack that much of a whallop."That's what I am talking about, in a circuitous sort of way (I know what you meant, BTW, but I find this appropriate to my point in a different way)If we fans were to throw a punch at a player, or throw bottles onto the court, we would get arrested and our team could even get fined if the foray got out of hand. The point is, we are just spectators. We are not a part of what happens on the court. Like the floor of the Roman Colosseum, they have their own code. It's not our job to whine for Nate. They have their own order of things... their own jurisdiction in a way. I actually like the point made on the board that letting things like this go harms the integrity of the game. That is why I think that Can't and the MAC should be pressured to respond to this incident.... not to make us happy or even to protect a certain player, but because it deserves a response.A message needs to be sent for the integrity of the game.I just don't think we need to get to whiney once our protest has been lodged.
  3. I dunno. The shot looks deliberate, but it doesn't look hard to me. Yes, I understand that everyone is a bit tender there. He should get a one game suspension for deliberately dirty play. That's probably about it.Nate isn't a wuss, right? He doesn't need a bunch of momma's trying to throw their skirts in front of him. I think Can't should be pressured to issue a suspension and when that happens, we need to stop the hissy.
  4. I highly doubt that the rubber-bowl was shoring up the hillside.I thought I heard that lockheed martin wasn't to dome over the cavity for a large blimp hangar
  5. Yeah, let's drop football. Sure. How does Infocision Waterpark and Summa Swimming Pool sound?
  6. drainage trenches, perhaps? I haven't looked at the cams yet today
  7. lol, it's as if we got blown out or something.two or three crucial momentary differences in that last minute and you guys would be reveling in what a great game it was because we hung in there and pulled it out in a close one.I'm sorry, I know that when you invest your emotions you get jilted the swing from high to low get's multiplied, but I just can join you guys in your barf-fest. It's just a game. We'll get 'em next time.
  8. I consider myself a fan, and I only mention that because I am sure the statement will be called into question after I say what I'm about to say, but I can't seem to bring myself to the levels of desperate anger you guys get when we lose a game. These players are competators and I have no doubt take the loses harder that we do.Do you really need to get this upset?
  9. Simply $$. No one has any money at this time. Unless you're a mortician, everyone's business is in the crapper. It is tough to raise money in this economic climate. A lot tougher than anyone would have projected even 6-8 months ago. If things stay as-is for the next 4-6 months, I'll be selling my plasma across from the stadium rather than attending games inside it. oh noe!maybe the U can buy out the plasma place and turn it into a special stadium admissions gate whereby you get ticket discounts on game day for donating plasma. They could build a bridge over the intersection.
  10. ppl want luxury. They don't wanna sit on wood benches. This is why I said a few years ago, I hope the stadium planners are smart enough to invest in decent seating, or tickets will not keep selling like they otherwise would. Now I understand that students and "real fans" have a different perspective and like being in the middle of everything, but many potential ticket buyers want to be in the loges and club seats because they think they can enjoy a game without being a packed sardine on a plank. What are the new seats going to be like in the bowl and stands?
  11. I could be crazy, but I would consider it an investment to virtually "give away" television contracts for 5 years. From that, MAC get's better exposure in their markets, and builds a larger fan base, and the the networks with the contracts get content at a minimal cost during which to run ads and make money. When you build up more interest in your programs, people get hooked. The contracts will make money later, and interest in your school's programs will rise.Currently, the MAC schools get minimal television time. As far as people in Ohio, S.Michigan, N.Illinois, and those other markets are concerned, their MAC programs are in the same black hole as HS sports. Hell, even H.S. games get more air time. It's ridiculous....and no, it is not an investment to give in to ESPN so they can hide the few MAC games that they do air on unavailable networks and odd time slots
  12. End of discussion.winning is fun, although if you're in a bad conference and you are winning, it's always in the back of your mind... but we aren't even dominating (yet ) so the whole discussion is moot.Let's start kicking some arse, and then let's b1tch about the conference
  13. jajaja "WinZip" what a username!
  14. the dick zipp athletic center?
  15. Most likely this is what they will be wearing:
  16. Obviously the man is not insecure about himself.A lesser man would take the rowdies personally.
  17. This is my sentiments to, but then I just tell myself "ah well, it's a fan forum... some people have their pet topics. Whaddaya gonna do?"It's not like we are going to debate Kant & Nietzsche
  18. Thanx for that.... Nice to see :)I'm sitting here trying to imagine being another 30ft lower down on the field and seeing all that
  19. OH OH OOHHH!!!!I was to see that doofus's video blog after we beat them again!
  20. *sleepwalks into thread*What happened today?
  21. Guys guys guys.... If you get your structural done, and all the services in place (the utilities, the communications equipment, and the operations equipment), you're not going to cancel a game just because they didn't lay carpet in the 4th floor offices or because there are no baby changers in the concourse level bathrooms, or because the logo wasn't painted on the loge level wall, or because the air conditioning wasn't tweaked properly in the visiting locker rooms *cough* bottom of list *hint* *cough*mmkay?
  22. Okay, yeah. The Subway WAS at the west end of the carwash building.Personally, I'd be excited to see the university grab up all that area between spicer and rt.8 and really make it into something nice.I like that whole Greek Village concept... I mean, if you make an entire park-like area with a bit of a southern Mediterranean feel to it and put in buildings for residences and fraternities / sororities, it would go a LONG way to giving the university a more residential and less commuter atmosphere
  23. It used to have a subway in it... one of the only subways I ever saw with a drive thru.Me and my GF both ordered seafood&crab subs there and we both got really really nasty food poisoning from it. We should have gone to the emergency room.... nay, we were too busy hurling and sitting on the thone to drive... we should have called an ambulance and sued subway, then we'd have owned the place and could sell it over to UA without eminent domainthe subway directly across the street from that car wash has a drivethruIs my memory that bad or did the subway move? The subway used to be in the same NE corner of exchange and spicer as teh carwash when I was there.
