I didn't know Tommy followed those guys down there!TG was really coming along nicely. I enjoyed watching and listening to him progress.I liked the way UAM was bringing him along.............as an example, handing off the ZipsLive Show to him, while staying close by to lend guidance. That was an example of why (IMHO) UAM's on a career rocketship if he'll just buckle down and knock off that advanced degree which (the lack of) I have a feeling gets in his way.Damn we need a win down there Saturday!

Passing thoughts from a long time observer...........1. Sorry to start yet another thread, honest...........but after reading what's on the board already, the silence from the hard corp old timers is deafening, and maybe this is a spot they can drop in a line or two and feel "safe"2. Dix has ALWAYS been a hard house for us to play in. Down thru the years it seems our "Game" deserts us when we step onto that field.............we've come away with our share of W's, but we've ended up doing it unconventionally as compared to how the team played the rest of the season..............know what I mean?3. Note to newbies: This is the Mid American Conference.............anything can happen on any given day or night.4. Team "emotion" IS important. Remember the 1st game of the 03 season? That was a repeat of it yesterday..............except or the fact that Superman was in Gold and Blue that night, and if the coaching staff wouldn't have failed the team, the guy could have bought them back..............despite the fact that those guys played D like only 6 or 7 guys were on the field at any given time.5. I enjoyed and agreed with that comment by ITZ that this staff is responsible for the greatest victories and the worst losses............very true. Not THE WORST nor THE BEST however..........NIU was THE BIGGEST however, and Army was the BIGGEST FART IMHO.6. Attendance? We've been here before. 8-10,000 hard corps fans like Doc, Capt, the newly interested, hard corp taligating former players will show up and we'll report 15,001 so don't sweat the "asses in the stands" requirement.7. Uhh.............hate to say this..................but those guys looked pretty good yesterday. That mohawk can take the day of however. Kudos to Doug Martin and staff.8. Kelly Short is a tough house early in the season. We've ALWAYS done better there late in the season.............. Don't slit your wrists guys, a football season is a marathon, not a sprint. There is plenty of time to come.......And BTW, being able to hear the game on the IN from Frankfurt is not a bad thing! Any frikin sound is great!ILFSITF

Damn Dude, welcome back!i'm reading all the comments and sometimes wondering if the posters were watching the same game I was!!!Here are some one liners from my memory and observations.........watched it from Florida and am off to Asia and Europe for the next 20 days, unfortunately.Getsy is really impressive to me. IMHO, he's easily a leader of 5's level, and is easily as good a field general. This is not to dis S/man, just an observation.O-line? No better or no worse than it's been for the past 6 or 7 years. Too many suck ups around here proping average play as the second coming. Alleman cost us big time on the first series.......that hurt. Crouch is, as the Dude says, small.The defense is definately getting stronger. No mention as yet from here on guys, more later when we see what happens in the next few games.I watched LO twice on the sideline at Happy Valley. He was just happy to be there. JD coached "pissed" and I loved it. He was not in aw of the environment. He was pissed the zebras were (as usual) giving the home Big 10 team all the breaks early. Guy's really got nuts in my book................Kennedy is slow and tenative. Hope he "shines"like all of you say he will..........I really do, but he did nothing for me yesterday.Paterno sucks. He's a bitter old man, and I hate to see the media sucking up to that a-hole like they do.We were in that game all the way..............courtesy of Luke and JD's attitudes. It kind of reminded me of the OSU game some 5 or 6 years back..............but for a couple F/ups, we were right the hell there.That's all....................please crank NC State for me.............I'll watch it on the tracker.

I don't like what I'm seeing, and if you spant any of your hard earned money on a #9 Browns jersey, I hate to tell you this, but it was probably flushed down the toilet..............and that's coming from a guy who likes Superman!Long, long ago I said I hated to see him get drafted into the Browns system. I’m starting to be a little concerned………….I’m a big Superman backer, but my gut’s telling me something is not quite right with his game.A big difference between the College game and the Pro game is that the Pro’s play those hated pre-season “dress rehersals”………true looks never last much more than a full quarter or so, but as fans we get a glimpse of what the main line guys are all about. To me, an observer of almost every one of his games since he stepped onto the field vs Ohio in relief of another “starter” way back when, he just does not look confident. It looks like he’s a high school volleyball player (know what I mean?) afraid to make a mistake. And then when his instincts finally break out from his ability to suppress them, crap, he does make a mistake.Maybe over time this will fix itself…………..maybe he needs 4 quarters to “get it going” or something………….I don’t know………..all I can say is it just doesn’t seem like my guy is playing like he’s capable right now.Thoughts?

Whoa.............Let's not get the RNC mantra of "if you're not 100% behind me, you're against me" in here.............There've been a lot of ham handed boo-boos made lately. Some we all know about, some only few are aware of but nevertheless effect us all. And yes, some good things are happening too.However, guys like CK who've paid the price with at least 20 years of dedicated loyalty to UA athletics (including financial backing) have earned the right to post criticsm if they see it's justified, and done in a professional manner.............that's all he did.Far as I know, this is the first (save ZFF's original Blue Board) and ONLY place...............tech savy fans can offer their opinion and voice their loyalty to UA.I don't see that anyone's as a crybaby..........and can see pro's and con's to hosting KD's outing on the day of the home opener. Personally, I agree with CK, a different Saturday would have been better..............but it is what it is and that is that.Let's move on and direct our energy not toward each other.........
