No idea, but man are they gorgeous! Even if we don't get them this year they're obviously on Guthrie's To Do List, so hopefully sooner rather than later.

We've lost 13 of our last 14 games -v- Ohio 😬

How is the action thus far? Any updates?

This is great, @catdaddyp. Thank you. As this thread continues to grow this post will get lost, so, for easy reference, when I get some free time tomorrow I'll incorporate your information into Post #1. -
Akron mistakes (pick 6 and muffed punt at our own 2-yardline) gave BUGS 14 points. That's a textbook example of beating one's own self. He said, "beating one's own self."

I like next year's schedule with Kentucky and Indiana. Those are the types of P5 schools we should be scheduling (ala, NC State). We should not be scheduling national championship contenders... unless it's Ohio State, or, IMHO, Michigan. (And, yes, I know, just our luck that Kentucky is really good this year and might be next year. That's just Akron luck; what are you gonna do?) What I feel our OOC schedule should look like every year: FCS - open with an FCS school. Get a W at home. (Heck, make it YSU & bring back the Steel Tire Trophy.) G5 - schedule a G5 like we did this year w/ Liberty P5 - middling-to-lower tier P5 school. No Alabamas or Georgias. Also - postgame fireworks at each home game through October

Polsky Building Renovation

That's disappointing. I thought the bottom level was going to front Main St. with some new performance and gallery space. -

Hopefully he can send kick offs through the back of the end zone. -

We haven't talked enough about how good Clyde Price looked at RB. He looks like a RB and has the leg strength to pull his legs through arm tackles (Idk if Cam has that kind of leg strength). He was doing a great job running behind his pads, getting some extra yards after contact, and falling forward. I've always thought that for RB give me a guy who's 5'9 & #200. But at 6'1" #220 Pryce is an absolute monster. Pryce may not have the breakaway speed or home run capability of Cam, but until we have a better OL we'd better stick with the bigger back who can give us a cloud of dust & 3 yards a pop. -

The lower west side was quite full. Upper west side looked almost as full as opening night. I wish the crowd was louder, but looking over from the east stands the west side crowd didn't look too sparse. -
New Coach - Same crappy team (*Thread from 2004*)

That’s precisely what happened to us. JD said it was because good DL were too difficult to recruit. -

*I will say that w/ the blue jerseys & blue pants I think the gold helmets would have looked better. With this team we have little margin for error, so our equipment crew simply must do better. -
We haven't been clicking like that offensively since Guywon Chong was leg swept -v- Michigan State. Did Sam Tojaga fill Guywon Chong's vacated position? Maybe Sammy was the piece we were lacking? Last night's game was so completely one-sided I couldn't tell if we were that good or if NIU was that bad. Complete, utter domination. When our starters were in we were making NIU look like a high school team. A true no-doubter. Shout out to local product #13 Joseph Paulus who had, IMO, the most impressive of the 4 goals - a true rocket shot off his left foot from 8-yards out.

If Dawson is out, Hilltopper's 7 Guys Who Should Dominate PT is reduced to 6. That's an awfully thin lineup. IMO, now we really need Nate Johnson to step up. His HS tape was fantastic & he's got a strong build, ala Dawson. If he can buckle down & play stellar defense like Dawson does (Dawson is our junkyard dog), we won't need him to be much of a scorer. Sadly, I've gotta revise my lineup as follows: PG: X....................Clarke G: Hankerson....Prather G: Tribble...........Johnson P: Hunter............Mosengo P: Freeman........Lyles However, until I hear differently, I'm going to hold out hope that Dawson's injury isn't as serious as it may appear. They give these guys First Class care & spare no expense as they go above and beyond baseline treatments (e.g., being admitted to the hospital overnight for simple dehydration, etc.). Hopefully what we saw with Dawson is something along those lines. Maybe he just stubbed his toe 🤞😉
