Hit him right in the numbers.

Looks like they're going to burn his redshirt, eh? Wish Gray would/could step up. Oh well, gotta get the best 11 on the field.

Zips remembering how to win -
Sounds like the ABJ had both Michael Beaven and George Thomas asking questions. Big step in the right direction (if this isn't a one-time thing).

Is our offensive drop off due in large part to losing Guywon Chong? -
That was RB Clyde Price.

If you became a Zips' fan during the Ianello years you are a true hero.

I notice that someone just posted a reaction to the initial post in this thread. So don't forget, or, for anyone new to this thread please know, that I'm continually editing Post #1 to keep it as up to date as possible (sans any insider information) in regards to our Class of 2023 Verbal Commitments. -
Game 4: Akron ZIPS @ Liberty - Score Prediction (POLL)

Yeah, I hope they're energetic and ready to go. They've traveled a lot this past month and to top it off I saw on twitter that they had an awfully bumpy flight down there (one team manager was joking about it by saying he's never flying again). Hope they're amped up and ready to go come 6:00! Go Zips! -
Shear greatness.

IMHO (I'm completely out of my depth when analyzing OL play) our OL has gotten MUCH better since Week 1. They were able to pass block with much more success against MSU & TN than they did against lowly StFU. We were a sieve against FCS StFU. Did replacing Xavier Gray with Jordan Daniels really make that much of a difference? 🤯🤯🤯 Another consideration for someone(s) with a higher Football IQ than me: Were we possibly StFU's "Super Bowl" so they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us (scheme wise) & were able to confuse our OL, while MSU & TN knew they'd handle us rather easily so just ran vanilla defensive schemes so as to not put too much on tape for their future B1G & SEC opponents, respectively, thus making it more simple to block & therefore I'm just getting my hopes up for our OL for no good reason?

Just out of curiosity, where do you get the 67% capacity figure? Agreed. We have a AA minor league team & on Friday nights Canal Park is hopping. You can smell the burgers on the grill & get wafts of beer in the air, the game experience is absolutely top shelf.. complete with a fantastic fireworks show following every Friday home game. Of course everyone wants to see the RubberDucks win, but most people are just there for the fun atmosphere.

Well said. This post hit the on the double-whammy. 1. It's so easy to watch from the climate-controlled comfort of your couch; kitchen 30 feet away, bathroom 40 feet away, 65"HDTV, instant replay, etc. All sports across America are dealing with this new phenomena. Honestly, this is most likely a permanent sea change in American sports attendance. (But... I still think big crowds are exciting & make for memories & we definitely want to shoot for that critical mass.) 2. THE NONSTOP PERPETUAL LOSING. Only diehard Zips fans go to the games. Winning... and only winning... will solve that. Aside: I've always wished the lovable loser Zippers had a loyal following like the Cleveland Browns & Chicago Cubs. But alas, we don't. But hardly anyone does, save the Browns & Cubs. Just win, baby.

He’s really good. I saw him play on Friday. Tall kid w/ great frame. Smooth route runner. St. Ed’s generally double-teamed him, sometimes triple-teamed him.

Love them. Would also like to see us work in white pants once in a while. I love the all-white look. (From my understanding we don't have white pants this year. So maybe next.) I'm a uniform junky. I can bore the average person with uniform talk all day.
