The gold versions of our uni's are always my favorites. But I wish you hadn't said that, now I can't unsee the wife-beaters. Lol.

🤣🤣 If we keep playing with the focussed defensive intensity we've seen through the first 3 games we'll at the very least be in every game this year. We played tremendous D -v- OSUcks & Groce never took the foot off the gas -v- the two lightweights. So, yes, I'm excited to see how we bring it against D-1 opponents again.

On the bright side, our '23 schedule is close to ideal, IMHO.

This is perfectly reasonable and what I'm hoping to see. Next year: Solid, fundamental, well-coached football with much improved defense. Few blowouts to MAC opponents. Competitive game with Kent. A few impact transfers. Year 2: Close games, some near misses, .500 in the MAC. Beat Kent. See noticeably better talent on the field (both OL & D-lines, LB crew; the ability to both run the football and stop the run). Year 3: In the hunt for MAC East championship, competitive games, see us actually blow someone out, bowl eligibility, beat Kent. We just need to win. Win, win, win. Stop the losing. I'm a diehard and even I'm getting demoralized to the point of becoming indifferent. Caring about Zips' football has not been a healthy exercise in a very long time.

Now you're going back to my very earliest memories of UA football. Reading some articles in the Beacon Journal at breakfast before catching the school bus. Ancient. Lol. We've sucked for so long.

Other than conference games, I'm sure we must compensate every team that comes to the JAR. Is that what you mean? I'd rather us schedule the local small colleges, at least it would make for a more fun atmosphere in the JAR. Walsh, Malone, Mount Union, they give 110% when they play UA & bring some fans with them. Treat them with respect & make sure they have a good time and we could make some new Zips fans.
