  1. πŸ’― JMU as well. *Plus JMU has men's soccer. (I don't know how many of you visit the soccer forum, but the lack of MAC schools fielding men's soccer teams is an issue.)
  2. Marshall is a no-brainer. I'd love for the Herd to be back in the MAC. I'd also be for adding WKU. The Hilltoppers fit geographically, have great facilities, and have the 2nd coolest mascot in sports. I'd also like to add James Madison and Illinois State. That'd bring us to 16 teams.
  3. Spouse Like A House. To die for. Handle’s has turned me into an insufferable ice cream snob. Lol
  4. I ordered Romeo's pizza & had Handle's ice cream & then took a nap through the entirety of the 2nd half. So I also had a rather triumphant afternoon. Zips football fans are good at making lemonade.
  5. You're not wrong.
  6. @LoyalZIP great post. I only find solace in that our offense starts 9 freshmen (including all OL), 1 sophomore (Mathison), and one junior (Quals). That simply has to be an NCAA record. It's just not fathomable any NCAA D-1 football team has ever started so many freshmen. It makes no sense, really. It's not as though Arth was required to literally start from scratch. In '23-'24 our offense should be great. But who wants to wait that long? It's been long enough as it is. On defense, we just can't hold the LOS. Very few TFL's & very few QB pressures, let alone sacks. Opposing QB's are far too comfortable. IMHO, that's the primary problem with our DB's. (Though Watts is a better S than CB. That's really illustrated, for me, the truism of how tough it is to find top shelf CB's.)
  7. GT's transparent apathy towards his gig as Zips' beat writer used to aggravate me. But I'm beginning to feel sorry for him for having to cover the football team every week.
  8. The Nike uniforms are a big step back from the much nicer Adidas kits.
  9. Not a single vote? I'm anxious to see if our revamped OL continues to impress.
  10. Wow! How nice is it to have an important, Conference-race relevant game?!
  11. πŸ’― I credit Arth for keeping the entire team engaged. So refreshing to see after literally watching a player fall asleep on a bench during a game under last regime. The heads and the hearts of the young men Arth is attracting can't be questioned. (Dollard withstanding.) I just pray their bodies are able to compete at this level.
  12. What's happened to DL Jannir Wade? He looked promising last season.
  13. DL's Zach Morton and Ryan Johnson seem to really be coming into their own. Does anyone even remember how these two became Zips? I don't remember either of them from any recent signing day. Are they walk-ons? Are they transfers? Their GoZips dot com bios leave much to be desired.
  14. This true freshman had a really nice game at LB stepping in for the injured Reggie Corner... who was stepping in for the injured Bubba Arslanian. πŸ™ƒ This bio is even better than Hester's. The U really puts a lot of TLC into their Athletics' website. We Zips fans are #blessed.
  15. GoZips dot com has a fantastically detailed bio of our new starting RB Blake Hester. Fried chicken dinner to anyone able to say his mom's name 10x fast. πŸ˜‚β™₯️
  16. Gibson's moxie reminds me of Baker Mayfield. He gets the whole team fired up.
  17. Was anyone able to note who our starting OL were?
  18. 😳 Superb article by GT. Give it a read πŸ‘†
  19. I don't know a lot about soccer, but even I can see this as well. When the opponent lines up for a corner I'm a nervous wreck, but when we do likewise I never expect anything to come of it.
