  1. Agreed. He's such an amazing physical specimen. Btw, current East HS senior RB & Davanier Floyd was at the game today. He's given a verbal commitment to the Zips. Dude walked by me and man, he is just absolutely stacked. He runs a 4.44 40 & is the current City Series 100 meter champ. He'd be our #2 back today if he were on the team. (Well, maybe #3 when Deltron Sands gets healthy.)
  2. This is where I'm at in my thinking. In fact, I went so far as to unfollow him on twitter. Take some of that, 'Tino
  3. Told y'all we'd get 3K. Doubters.
  4. Wow. You will literally learn nothing by reading this.
  5. Katy looked really good. He throws lasers. I thought he looked quite a bit better than Johns. Our two top RB's didn't play. Thought Chapman looked pretty good at WR.
  6. I'm on my phone. Any scouting site info from his high school years?
  7. Cleveland.com: New Akron coach John Groce hard at work retooling Zips basketball program
  8. Nice find, Hilltopper! Wouldn't it be great to see them do that in blue & gold in the near future!
  9. This was posted by Zippy5 earlier today: Lorng is a 6'9"-6'10" C/PF from Wesely Christian in Kentucky. His hometown is Paris, France, so he'd feel right at home in Akron. As lilroodude posted, he's a 4-Star recruit with offers from Missouri, Middle Tennessee State & UAB. He's visiting campus today with his HS teammate 2017 PG Keith Clemons.
  10. He's apparently taking a visit today (along w/ his Wesley Christian teammate 2018 PF/C Christian Lorng)
  11. I went ahead and started a thread for 2017 PG Keith Clemons. This was first posted by Rwbb54 on Sunday, April 17th: 2017 Keith Clemons will visit Akron on Monday. Top available point guard averaged 16.9 ppg for Wesley Christian. @ZipsMBB @keithclemonss Coach Fulford paying dividends already. This kid is an underrated point guard who played at Wesley against top tier national school talent.
  12. Amen. I was all for KD retiring here and naming the court after him. But this timing seems to have worked out perfectly for us; KD leaving just as Groce became available. Sometimes you've gotta be lucky, I guess.
  13. On the video board did you guys see how packed their lower bowl was? Absolutely insane. So jealous
  14. Elijah Ratliff, DL, 6-3, 267, Reynoldsburg HS
  15. Was George Thomas even there? Or, for that matter, anyone from the Beacon Journal? ?
  16. +1. I've always thought George was a killer S. Hmm.
  17. THANK YOU CK & Dr. Z! Excellent work! As someone dependent upon the Beacon Journal for Zips coverage, your light shines in the darkness!!!
  18. Still counting Antino as leaving, correct?
