  1. And he’s only going to be a redshirt freshman. 💪💪
  2. @catdaddyp, what do you make of us apparently not re-offering Kamarii Landers? According to twitter/X he has received an offer from Coastal Carolina. But as far as I can tell that's his only current offer. I thought he had tremendous potential - I can't figure out teams (including us) not taking a gamble on a good left tackle. Edit: Last night he also received an offer from Troy.
  3. I doubt the St. Bonny game is included in these stats but here are our scoring leaders thus far: 1. Ali Ali: 18 ppg 2. Freeman: 17.7 ppg 3. Hunter: 11.1 ppg 4. Nate: 9 ppg 5. Tribble: 8.7 ppg 6. Dawson: 7.3 ppg 7. Shammah: 5.9 ppg 8. Tavari: 4.0 ppg 9. Thornton: 4.0 ppg I vote for Nate Johnson.
  4. Wouldn't Aziz Bandaogo and Jermaine Marshall be looking awfully good in blue & gold right now? 😩 I like Shammah more than Garvin Clarke... but barely. I've been rather disappointed in him honestly. Love his defense (I liked Clarke's defense). I do think Shammah finishes better at the rim than Garvin, is more athletic and a better ball handler. You stole my words in regards to Nate. He's playing with veterans & it just doesn't doesn't look like he feels like a team leader. Hopefully next season he'll take a big jump when he's the locker room veteran. But I don't know if we're a deep team, or not. It's been quite the disappointment that none of Tavari, Lyles, or Prather appear to be at all serviceable at this level. I had relatively high hopes for Tavari coming into the year but he's yet to duplicate last year's early season game vs. Nevada. That was a long time ago now. And that Nevada team was as good & athletic as any team we've faced since. Weird.
  5. Just wanted to say I'm just trying to enjoy these players for one final go-round. Last year was actually our year to make noise in the dance - we were primed to return a starting 5 who punked KSUcks in Cleveland and then took Sweet 16 UCLA to the limit. But then Ali Ali transferred out and Mike Dawson was injured and our potentially epic season was derailed before it even started. This year it's obvious we haven't been able to fill X's shoes... hell, we're not close to anyone filling even one of X's shoes. So it is what it is. Let's win the MAC, beat KSUcks, and then hope maybe Dawson (if not Dawson, who?) gets hot from behind the 3-point arc in an NCAA game or two.
  6. Pregame WHLO Joe Dunn stated he thinks the key to us reaching our potential this year is Dawson and Tavari.
  7. Where are you going with that, @catdaddyp? Edit: I hope you're not getting at the possibility of KSUcks getting this guy. He's tough and could absolutely be a difference maker in the MAC. He's better than anyone we trotted out onto the field this year. We'd have won 6 games w/ Labas at QB.
  8. Orie's twitter/X profile says "Head Strength Coach-Akron Football"
  9. Thank you, @Bona BigCat. What an excellent breakdown! I hope you have a great time Saturday & that it's an exciting game. You're welcome here on ZipsNation and in the JAR anytime!
  10. Merry Christmas, brothers!
  11. Wow. I just watched the video from last night & that's downright assault. He could've been arrested for that.
  12. EMU certainly didn't represent the MAC well last night.
  13. NIU looking good. Up 21-7 over Arkansas State. Early in the 2Q.
