  1. Chuck Amato courtesy of George Thomas and the ABJ. Thank you, George. Outstanding work. Also, I posted this LINK in another thread, but I'll post it again here. It is to an ABJ story about how Coach Bowden has had an influence on UA's Junior Day. The article also mentions LR8 & Dalton Williams separating themselves from the rest of the QB pack.
  2. Great article on Bowden's impact on UA's Junior Day.
  3. I'm surprised there is only one kid from Stark County attending. Ja'Bron Mcguire from GlenOak. No Massillon or McKinley. Hmm.
  4. I noticed that! Thanks, George! Great stuff, once again.
  5. Here is another George Thomas article. This time on Phil Ferguson's ballsy move to the football team. Dude's crazy, if you ask me. Good luck, my man. Don't get killed. Go Zips! And go George Thomas!
  6. +1. I'm not at all excited about the conference getting weaker just so we look better. Bad day.
  7. Thank you, George. I don't remember anyone ever reporting that information before, so much appreciated! Quite a few QB's.
  8. No Buffalo? Lame.
  9. I agree. I haven't gone for this whole 'hoping that Groce moves on so Ohio will struggle' motif. I don't care what they or K.e.nt do. I want us to elevate our program, not necessarily for them to lower theirs. We need to rise up. If we can't beat them, then I wish them the best.
  10. GT rocks.
  11. Thanks, George! Q: In Coach Bowden's version of the spread, does he like to utilize his QB as a running, dual-threat QB, or as a gunslinger who is just responsible for distributing the ball to the playmakers? Thanks again, GT!
  12. Both Lartey and Alexander were pretty highly-touted coming out of high school. And last year the Zips were very... very... VERY bad.
  13. Here is George Thomas' article on ZD11's move to WR.
  14. Taylor Made Jewelry is located in the Ellet district and is a big supporter of Zips athletics. Ohio.com
  15. I hope he can take a hit.
  16. Sadly true.
  17. Plus 6'4" shooting guard Caris LaVert from Pickerington. He was amazing in the state D-1 championship game.
  18. True, the MAC would probably kick our football team out.
  19. Any chance we could get in on that?
  20. Baseball Zippers won again today, beating Ballsack State 6-3.
  21. I think Mello is going to have to come right in and contribute meaningful minutes at backup PG. I really don't know what kind of contributions Ibitayo & Justice can make on our current team. They both seem like odd-men-out as we don't really run w/a 2-guard anymore. We seem to want to run w/a PG & 2 wings. Ibitayo, though only 6'3", with his 6'9" wingspan could probably fill that role. Justice however, I see as a role player who comes in and just strokes the 3. Egner's been, to me, very underwhelming. I hope he can give some quality minutes next year. Losing Nik, we're going to be thin in the post (Zeke, Tree, Harney... Egner.) Three post players, however, may be sufficient. Once things shake out (around 1/3rd-ish of the way into next season?) this is how I envision our rotation: PG: Rico, Mello W: Gilliam, Walsh, Q P: Zeke, Tree, Harney That's a solid 8-man rotation. All contributors. All getting plenty of PT. I think incoming wings Kretzer (6'7") & McAdams (6'6") will both be redshirted and made ready to take over for Gilliam and Q the following year.
  22. Great game. Dunbar wins by 2. Dunbar was the faaaar better team. But Reggie was a one-man wrecking crew, finishing with 24 points. Reggie was by far the best player on the floor - even though Dunbar has 3 D-1 commits. Also, someone else previously mentioned Elida sophomore PG Dakotah Mathias, but that dude is going to be the real deal.
  23. Beautiful facility. 10,000-seats. Suite level. Exactly what we need.
