  1. 8 seniors, oh my! Another 0fer does not sound unrealistic.

  3. I beg to differ. Rather than full, crap constitutes a relatively small percentage of the human body. https://www.emedicinehealth.com/ask_how_much_does_poop_weigh_in_your_body/article_em.htm#ask_a_doctor Go Zips
  4. You are correct skippy; the table I attached does not support my opinion. Limiting results to inter divisional play only, in 2019 the east won 9 of 19 games including the MACC (of course the west had an unfair advantage with the Zips in the east). Unfortunately, bud doesn't think Akron would win more games this season playing teams from the west than they will playing teams from the east. GO ZIPS
  5. The tide must have turned while I wasn't looking. What leads you to conclude that the MAC east is now stronger than the west???? Last season wasn't much different than other recent seasons: 4 west teams had winning records, 2 east teams managed to beat .500. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mid-American_Conference_football_standings
  6. Anyone who makes a tiresome comment about your post has to answer to me. Personally, I like the idea of playing 12 instead eleven if we can get away with it. I think it would significantly increase our chances of being competitive. I'm not sure "huge" is the correct descriptor of the Zips offensive line you propose; "average size for a MAC team" would be more accurate. For example, using data from the two-deep for WMU (our first opponent) the average height and weight of their offensive line are 6'4." and 299.4 pounds, both of which are close to the average height and weight of the five Zips you listed; 6'6" and 295 pounds. Go Zips.
  7. OSU is one of the remnants of the Battle for Atlantis (or whatever it's called) that are moving to one of the Dakotas to play in a pretty good (unnamed) tournament beginning the first day teams are allowed to play games. Mid-majors in the field include Creighton and Dayton (no Akron).
  8. You are going to make 72 Roo cry because your post will remind him of the Rubber Bowl before artificial turf. With both UA and high schools wearing out the grass, the middle of the field became devoid of vegitation and after a rain quicksand. I used to really enjoy watching my high school band attempt to march through the mess.
  9. Is there a chance the MAC will publish this season's schedule before the first game is to be played?
  10. Where is the Potato Bowl?
  11. Has anyone seen our edepth chart for this season? What are your thoughts about our squads relative strength in Overwatch and League of Legends? I am so pumped for esports competition; my belly button won't quit puckering and unpuckering.
  12. There will be no tiebreakers. In case of a tie all teams in the tie will participate in the championship game. For example, say 3 teams end up tied in the east division and 2 in the west. East team A will play the 1st and 4th quarter of the championship game, Team B will play the 2nd quarter and Team C will play the 3rd quarter. Team A from the west will play in the 1st and 3rd quarters while Team B will play in the 2nd and 4th quarters. The seeding for A, B and C status will be determined just prior to the championship game by a best of three rock. paper, scissors game.
  13. Point of order: Your math is correct, but both Celsius and Fahrenheit are measured in degrees, not feet.
  14. TWO THINGS: 1) At one time I had an aspirations, but I fixed it with some Preperations H. 2) Why is this stuff in a basketball thread?
  15. What? Are you living under a rock? "Tailgating" refers to the competition between Ford, GM and Dodge to incorporate a step into the tailgate of their pick-up trucks so that people will have something to bump their knee into when unloading the vehicle.
  16. Are you saying you think he is not aggressive enough: because I think not stabbing someone in the leg is a good thing.
  17. Just a few more basketball players and we will have enough to field a football team. I don't know if Ron Behagen has any eligibility left and he has to be over 60 years old, but he is the best kicker I ever saw on a basketball team. Our basketball/football team could use him.
  18. Earlier in this thread there was some debate as to whether or not P5 schools who dropped games this year against nonP5 schools would be paying the nonP5 schools their guarantee. To update the debate, I have compiled the following list of all such payments that have been made.
  19. I have enjoysed scores of college and pro football games around the country without ever having attended a tailgaiting party although on my way into the stadium I did see a girl at a Brewers tailgating party (do baseball games count?) get knocked out by a flying baseball bat.
  20. I also loved the Rubber Bowl. To help refresh your memories I suggest buying one or two of the following and installing it/them in your bathroom.
  21. Practices were not prohibited.
  22. Malik should be back by the time the basketball season begins; after all he only stabbed the guy in the leg. And he was provoked as the other player had committed a charge. I quote from the link you posted, Malik "was charged".
  23. Today's game reminded me of the cyclones of old.
  24. This guy will be a delightful change of pace for the Zips on 4th down and kickoffs.
