Very disappointed in the lack of stats you provided.
I also checked out their web site and came up with three notable stats: 11, 3 and 1&1.
11 - They only have an eleven man roster. We should be able to run them out of gas.
3 - These guys are Road Warriors; only 3 of their first 12 games have been played at home.
1&1 - Looking at the players photos it becomes apparent that they must be a close-knit group because they only had one white shirt and one tie that they all shared on photo day.
There is no mention of your innovative suggestion. I really think they missed the boat there.
They did, however, make clear their intention to renovate any new athletic facilities.
According to the release, the Z Fund raises money, in part, "for the renovation of existing facilities and all new athletics facilities."
Although this is a rather bland document, I give the athletic department credit for breaking with tradition and running the piece through a spelling and grammar check before making it available to the public.
Did they give any specifics on how our minor sports teams will be able to compete at the highest level while being funded at the lowest level. Now that would be news.
Roller derby would be an EXCELLENT addition.
Roller derby has a strong tradition in Akron. I remember Prof. Castle telling our marketing class that he checked into a hotel in Mexico city, turned on the TV and Earnest Angley was on. Then he changed the channel and Roller Derby from the Akron Armory was on it. He said he was pretty sure folks down there must have thought that Akron was the cultural capitol of the world.
If we haven't already, we should offer Kyle Allen, Quin Blanding, Leonard Fournette, Marlon Humphrey, Adoree' Jackson, Sony Michel, Joe Mixon, Jabrill Peppers and Cameron Robinson.
Looking at the results of the big swimming gala being held this weekend I think we are going to petition the NCAA to allow our swim team to drop to DII so that a few of of our lady tanksters can provisionally qualify for nationals.
Strike two.
Not a good sign when you get beat out by a guy who has already demonstrated he can't cut it in the NBA.
Again, it appears Zeke went to Taiwan mainly because somebody else wants him to be a professional basketball player.
