@George Thomas: Please George, give some serious thought to changing your name. I was reliving the game this morning by reading ABJ articles. Never actually read one before by the Can't State beat writer, Stephanie Storm. What a cool name, Stephanie Storm. With that alliteration thing working for her the name just kind of rolls off your tongue, Stephanie Storm. And that powerful, kind of meteorological, last name kind of grabs you like Wolf Blitzer; boy I bet they would make a great couple. I can envision their photos on the cover of People magazine. Sticking with the meteorological theme, and trying for a bit of alliteration ourselves, how about George Gale? Naw, sounds a little girly. There is no reason Can't State should have a writer with a cooler name than our writer. Please George, think about it.

Rather than NONSENSE, I could have been less succinct and written that your claims that (1) prior to Proenza, Akron was a glorified high school, and (2) your belief that the input of the university president is more than a rubber stamp of promotion and tenure decisions already made by others, reveal an appalling lack of knowledge about the history of the university and the operation of same. I have been to a number of OSU games in the Horseshoe over the last couple of decades; always at the invitation of a fan of the team the Buckeyes were playing. Great atmosphere; always had a good time. Never reminded me of being in any of the eateries you guys have suggested. Hope Zip fans can enjoy the same experience at the Info soon.

I didn't realize the Akron/Ball St. game was on TV till the second half. The TV director (bless his heart) tried to avoid camera shots of the stands, but occasionally this was impossible. Unfortunately, it was obvious that if we could have convinced those 50 people you saw at the Can't game to come sit on the east side of the Info it would have at least doubled the size of the "crowd" on that side of the stadium.
