  1. I feel for you Dude. That's why I am starting a grass roots movement to get Baltic another two make that three years of eligibility.
  2. Just planted a seed in the comment section.
  3. I wish everyone had Mayor Plusquellic's sense of place and community pride. I remember how after graduating from Kenmore High he and his brother went on to extend their storied football careers at the University of Akron.
  4. To celebrate the July 4th holiday correctly, be sure to remember the Alamo (and your meds).
  5. Excellent point. In addition the rating services would put a lot more emphasis on team wing spans and
  6. You are wrong Ol Football Breath Swami. In a stunning departure from precedent the media will, instead of predicting last year's final standings will be repeated, come up with the following prognostication: MAC East Ohio Bowling Green K.E.N.T. Miami Buffalo Akron UMass MAC West Toledo NIU Ball St WMU (tie) CMU (tie) EMU Toledo over Ohio in Championship Game
  7. Yes, but what is this young man doing up at 8:42 in the evening!
  8. Here's your sign.
  9. Thank you. Their is know doubt about it; I only include tragic bus accidents in my posts when they are needed to make a projected outcome more plausible.
  10. Also worked for Stetson getting Marquette and Wright State getting (and beating) Michigan State, and on and on.
  11. In previous threads, somebody pointed out one strategy that stands as good a chance as any of getting a high major to the JAR. Track local talent that goes to a big time program, contact those schools and suggest that coming to Akron would be a great way let the players friends and family watch their kid play ball without traveling far. Every once in a while this will work.
  12. He did graduate high school, right?
  13. There are perfectly reasonable explanations for this. For example, if one repeatedly grabs the ball too firmly so as not to have it knocked away that can result in carpal tunnel syndrome.
  14. I think it is commendable that Akron has given up on attracting convention business. There are still too many shrinking rust belt cities spending resources in an attempt to bring in a few convention dollars.
  15. I am shocked that nobody other than UAkronkid commented on this post which appears to be a lock for post of the month.
  16. I hope his manager speaks German.
  17. Impressive get.
  18. That is an interesting question for which no data is available. One could make valid arguments that celebrities suffer a higher arrest rate or enjoy a lower arrest rate than others due solely to their celebrity.
  19. Apparently the decimal point on the TI Business Analyst II is now too small for me to see without reading glasses. I must note, however, that I did not go statistical on you; I did make a few arithmetic calculations.
  20. Presented in the manner the way the article did, this looks really bad and while it's not good, it's not all that terrible. There are 31 teams in the NFL, each with an active roster and practice squad equal to 61 players per season. That's 1,952 players per year. For the almost 14 years included in the report the 640 arrests represents only 0.23% of the 27,328 players in the league.
  21. Or two years and four tragic bus accidents.
  22. Sounds like his June camps didn't work out as hoped.
  23. Alright! The first half of our first cornerback for this recruiting class.
