#12 came in with 12 minutes remaining v Thomas More this evening. Great seeing Gyuwon back on the field. He looked good in those 12 minutes. Hope we get to see him this summer here in Akron.

My understanding ... Facilities crew utilized “growth mat” tarps to help re-grow grass in the penalty area over the winter months. It’ll be back to perfection by the summer.

College players play on these teams for development, without getting paid. Many of our players have played on these teams in the past and retain their eligibility. Will Portman, Renato Kauzleric, and Levi Stephens played for Akron City FC in summer 2022 and then played for the Zips in the Fall. Cam Victor and Jaden Wright also played with Akron City FC in Summer 2022 then went onto play at the schools to which they transferred.

Looking forward to following Zips Mens Soccer this summer with Akron City FC at St V-M.

Agreed. Josh Hallenberger had a standout game, as well. Newcomer Alejandro Varela (#8) (nickname Nano, I believe as Will Jackson introduced him to me) started and played well. Very happy to meet Nano and get a look at him in action. Great seeing David Egbo. Agreed that he likely won't read this, but it would be great to see him again next Sunday at Robert Morris.
