  1. As far as the game time at 4 pm on Tuesday, I agree with all who have stated how ridiculous that is. It is a MAC Tournament game. It is unfair to Men's Soccer players, coaches, staff, family, friends, and fans to start an important game so early on a work day. Our Athletic Department leaders do not deserve to be leading a D-I athletics program. They knew before the season started that playing a first round MAC Tournament game was a possibility. Not planning appropriately for that possibility is unacceptable. Actually, considering last night's cluster, the game should probably have been scheduled for noon or 1 pm to accommodate the possibility of no power for lighting the field Tuesday evening.
  2. I hope Larry Williams or George Van Horne and the MAC Commissioner called WVU and BGSU and thanked them profusely for helping them out of what could have been a huge mess as far as seeding the MAC Men's Soccer Tournament. Thanks to WVU and BGSU winning, the only seeds that could have been affected involved Akron, BG, and WMU. Since WMU and BG tied when they played, I'm not sure who would have had the #2 seed if WMU would have won last night. Akron could get no better than the #3 seed once BG won.
  3. I feel bad for our players, coaches and staff. They work hard to bring us a quality product, and the UA Athletics Department fails to support them properly. Last night was a complete cluster on the part of the Athletics Department and UA Facilities. Power issues at 3 pm and you cannot figure out by 8 or 9 pm how to light 4 light posts on the competition field with generators...but you can light the practice field?!!! Power at the JAR!!! Power at Infocision Stadium!!! But, you can't get power for what should have been a required conference game for your most successful, most high profile team. Larry Williams set the precedent earlier this year by packing up the football team and leaving Nebraska, losing a payment of >$1M. I didn't even see Larry last night. Was he there? I didn't see George Van Horne either. Both owe us an apology and both should be on the hot seat for their lack of leadership and competence this year.
  4. I think you meant complaint not compliant. ?

  7. Interesting discussion, but why in the WMU thread? Why not create a thread about these high school matchups and players??? What does this have to do with Akron v WMU? GO ZIPS!

  14. I probably shouldn't have included that in my post because I didn't see it either. Others around me said he kicked the ball into the ref's back, not purposefully, but was aiming for the goal (although time had expired). Maybe buflobo or someone else can comment.
  15. Congratulations to son and Dad!!! Morgan has really been working his tail off. Happy to see his success!
