  1. could you send those files my way? My UA email is bng6.
  2. Hey guys, I wanted to rip McNees' clutch three before it got lost forever so I worked on getting it captured and put on youtube. Sorry about the audio. I had a lot of problems recording my screen. the vid is still processing so hopefully it'll get clearer after some time.
  3. I've also gotten word that Ianello is being very strict on grades so I wouldn't sweat it that some key players are missing right now. They'll get their grades up and be ready to play.
  4. I seperated my shoulder a few years back and let me just say I hope his surgery cuts his recovery time down considerably because I didn't have surgery and mine gave me problems for over a year. Best of luck to him. Here's hoping we wouldn't have needed him next year anyway!
  5. spread is 6, o/u is 125 so I'll go with the over and give the Zips the win 66-60.
  6. Norman Shuford transferred to Grand Valley State. Best of luck to him.
  7. my roomie was borrowing the movie from a friend and over the course of two weeks I watched it about three times. Such a great story and so very well made.I, too, was pleased at how well they handled the Lebron storyline. Growing up in NEOhio all I knew about was Lebron during his senior year and the movie does a wonderful job of informing the viewer of the publicity without giving it too much limelight. This truly was a team moreso than it was Lebron James and gang. What awards did the movie earn?
  8. Sounds like a reason to me. Doesn't matter if somebody agrees or disagrees with you, it's a reason. I wonder how many are in your shoes? I have no inside information, but I'm willing to bet that Youtube Tom changes something next year.I'm also a student who loves Akron sports but doesn't always choose to sit with the Rowdies. During my first two years at Akron, I sat with them for many games, yet never really felt like I was part of the group, because it seemed like many of the members looked down on me for not attending as many events as they did. I'm sure I will get bashed for saying this, but I really feel that the Rowdies are made up of cliques, which kind of cause some people to stay away. I can think of at least a few people that feel the same way as I do. I will say, however, that I have never had a problem with the "head" Rowdies, and have always enjoyed them. This is not meant to bash the Rowdies, I'm just giving a possible reason as to why some students would rather sit in the bleachers than with them.I think that's what I meant to say but couldn't figure out how to say it. Like I said I appreciate what the Rowdies do but it almost feels hard to become one of "them".
  9. while you have a point, as other have stated, the seats should be made available to students.I've stated many times before that I am a huge Zips fan, but I am not a member of the Rowdies. I would jump at the chance to sit at the lower seats for a men's game. What is your reasoning for not joining the Rowdies? My student days have long passed. I'm fuzzy on the Rowdie-Rulz. $10 fee? Seems odd if your a student and there are empty seats in the "student" section, you can't get in unless your a Rowdie? Obviously there are hundreds of Rowdies that aren't even at the game.I guess I have no legitimate reason. I just have always prided myself on being a huge Zips fan while not being a part of the Rowdies. I respect what they do but they have their negatives; sometimes they can be a bit too Rowdy for my taste.. That and I dislike all of the people who join just for the shirt yet like to claim they are Rowdies. It's like technically, yes, but in principal, no.So I don't really have much of a reason. It's just something I've never done. That being said, I'm content sitting in the upper sections for bball games. I'm definitely not complaining. Just merely pointing out that I wouldn't pass on the chance to sit lower.

  11. wow, I must have went at the right time(~3:00 PM today)
  12. I was there for the Dayton game. The Flyers were on the verge of a top-25 berth and had an incredible following. The NC A&T game was the day after the semester had ended, as in the last day of finals.
  13. +1 I consider myself a huge Zips fan. Thankfully I attended more soccer games this year but I never miss a home football game or basketball game. That being said, I am not a member of the Rowdies. I respect what they do, but I think I enjoy the sports themselves too much to be a hooligan. Sure, when the atmosphere is intense at the end of a close game, I'll scream and clap when a basket is made, but I do not join in any chants. It's just the way I am.This has been bugging me for a while. I think sometimes people forget that there are other UA sports fans other than the Rowdies.
  14. Zips up 39-23 at the half. All 23 Buffalo students with passports are here making noise. Their cheers haven't been very original though. Must've had too much Labatt on the way.
  15. they have them every year. My roommate tried out last year. He played two years at Ohio Northern(DIII Ohio Athletic Conference member) and is very skilled, yet when he got to tryouts the coaches told all 20 or so who were there that they weren't even really looking for anyone, maybe one person. He had a good tryout and still didn't make it.That being said, I miss soccer like crazy and might try out, if not just to get back on the pitch for once
  16. so Ak-Rowdies, how would one go about getting a guest "media pass" to sit with you guys tonight? I'd like to get some closer action shots sometime...Also count me in on the look-a-likes.
  17. Yes we got lucky they traveled, but we deserved to win that game we led for most of it...just had some poor play calling and shot choices at the endI wouldn't call it completely lucky. He was forced into the corner by great defense and tried to call a timeout which they had none of, which caused the travel. Some really good defensive possessions today. That Cooper kid was a beast though.Game ball definitely goes to Conyers. He had missed 2 dunks and finally came through on a huge one his third attempt when we were down 5. Then came up with 2 good rebounds. Then of course his two clutch free throws to seal it. He's beginning to become my favorite player to watch. I'll have to check the box score but he had to have had a double double. Fantastic game for him.
  18. it is true that you lose 100% of the games you don't play. That being said, UA has a 0% chance of being LeMoyne.Last year we played #6 Pitt at Pitt. We played well but came up short. Anyone remember one of the high-profile recruits in attendance that day? I'll give you a hint, he plays for us now. I'm sure that game helped us land him for good(as I'm pretty sure he wasn't 100% set on coming here at the time).I'm all for a tougher schedule. I don't care to see us beat teams by 50 points.
  19. give this a go http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-ncaa-c...sports.php?w=19
  20. I don't have the picture of the sign, but that sign was the FAILURE sign right?FAILURE! When your best just isn't good enough, again, and again, and again! That would be the one.
  21. 31-18 in favor of the good guys. 3:27 left in half 1.
  22. Zips lose a defensive barnburner by only hitting 3 of their 37 FTs. Each team shoots a stellar 2.5% from the field.Zips 7My Oh My 9
  23. I don't doubt you on this, but do you have some kind of link where he is quoted as saying this?unfortunately I don't have a link as the source of the info is my human source.
