  1. I think the 5 year clock would still apply
  2. Geez
  3. It's called being a fan. I suppose we'll see you around here if we're in a bowl game
  4. How any sane human could pick us to beat both BGSU and OU is beyond me. Let's hope
  5. The MAC is really going to suck next year. I've never seen a wave of transfers like this
  6. That's what I'm afraid of. He seemed pretty close with the guys that were left. Hopefully it was all on good terms and no one got upset
  7. Debating with you sometimes really is an exercise in futility sometimes Go back and read my posts, I never once said what they could or should spend the money on, only that they could still solicit donations. That's all I'll say on this, it's a dumb argument either way because nothing is changing.
  8. I'm gonna go on a limb and say the last two departures may have gotten a little nudge from Groce
  9. Has this kid committed anywhere yet? Seeing as an additional spot just opened up
  10. Nice. I'll check that out after work
  11. I'm intrigued by Allen. I don't know anything about him but to get on a short list like that preseason out of Wyoming he must have some skill.
  12. Darnold is so good
  13. Right, salaries are their only expense
  14. That's false. They are government. Doesn't matter either way. If they were for profit they could create a foundation and solicit all the donations their hearts desire.
  15. Again, Bama isn't a "non-profit." I don't know what makes you think anything would change in their case if they were taxed. Additionally, Bama making money is really the exception to the rule. Knowing your stance on education, I don't think you'd like to see how schools would be run if they were for profit. Bye bye tenure.
  16. Non profits don't have to lose money. I think the problem is a lot of people don't know what a non profit is. The NCAAs most recently filed 990 shows 7.7 mil net income. 9 mil was investment income from their assets. Their programs therefore lost 1.3 million bucks. A 501c3 needs to have a charitable purpose, and I think an organization that helps thousands get through college at a reduced price or free would probably fit the bill. Furthermore institutions don't "hide behind non profit status." Public schools are government. They aren't even non-profits
  17. Sounds like your issue is with the IRS.
  18. Go for it then
  19. He generates a ton of money for that school. Can't really argue much with it
