  1. I'm just looking forward to watching the 2030 Zips play on the Keith Dambrot Court at the LBJ Arena
  2. Honestly if this opens up a scholarship for a JUCO big, it could be a blessing in disguise
  3. He made over 900K last year
  4. They offered a couple weeks ago but after 4 or 5 candidates said no they are taking another stab, presumably with a more attractive offer. Let's hope it's still not enough
  5. I'm not LZ but I think the Tyreek Hill phenomenon helped JoJo's chances. I bet he gets a shot
  6. So this rumor has started again.
  7. Josh isn't a 3
  8. I thought he was redshirting.. he was active? That stinks
  9. Dang. Thought he was ready for a big year next year.
  10. I have an hour drive. You couldn't pay me to drive out on a Tuesday in November and get home after midnight. I'd come for a Saturday game. Football games are events, not just a game to show up, watch, and leave. Get there at 9, tailgate for a few hours, go to the game.. Not on a Tuesday night
  11. Well maybe in a few years...
  12. So this is where we are. Bashing the NIT selection committee. Who cares
  13. You can't go D-3 football and stay D-1 basketball
  14. So you're saying he improved, huh?
  15. Hell yeah
  16. http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/isaiah-johnson-1.html
  17. Our beat writer couldn't even think of Hughes name.
  18. Zeke was such a game changer, it was nuts. He would make the 2017 Zips look like a competent defensive team. Not only did he block 5 shots a game, or whatever the number was, he altered so many more. He allowed the guards to be more aggressive on the perimeter. He dominated the MAC in a way that didn't totally reflect on a box score.
  19. Because they're afraid they might lose
  20. I'd also say in their defense it has to be a tough job. A lot of teams have better resumes on paper and get seeded higher but checked out when they just missed the NCAA tournament.
  21. I'd argue they had some role in our silly mistakes. I just think they played a phenomenal game.. Perfect storm of us not coming out of the gates well and their style of play and how they executed it.
  22. There wasn't much to do to counter them when they play like that. We've played at Gonzaga and Creighton and they weren't as impressive as the Mavericks last night. Not that Gonzaga and Creighton aren't better teams, but last night's Mavericks beat December's Zags and Blue Jays, in my opinion.
  23. On one hand I feel we're all a little disappointed. On the other, we set a program record for wins. It is what it is I suppose
  24. Yeah, remember when he was a double-double machine? Seems like his rebounds dropped in step with his points.. I also am saying this without looking up the numbers, so I could be wrong.
