  1. This post made me angry edit: that was from the cusa thread
  2. If we went to the BE and built an 8,000 seat arena I'd be amazed.
  3. No one showed NZF the underground campus yet??
  4. I'm saying going to that conference for a year or two doesn't stop us from leaving it after a year or two. I realize I'm putting the cart before the horse.
  5. Why not? Boise did it with the MWC then the BE. TCU the same with the BE to the Big 12.
  6. I've seen it too. Good HD, Gary Waters drawing up plays...seems better than ours so far.
  7. I think there's a happy medium in here. He isn't Phil Knight or some super booster, but he isn't a omplete non-factor. I'll take what I can get.
  8. Oral Roberts would be a top 50 win, Buffalo a top 100 win, K ent a top 100 win, and a win or two over Buffalo/K ent again in the tourney would definitely get us up there.
  9. He was at either the Can't or VCU game in 08. Forget which one. Also at the info opener.
  10. I doubt they're welcome
  11. I think KD has done a good job of tricking everyone into thinking Miami is better han their record. Hopefully he tricked his players so they give him a full 40 minutes, but I'm not falling for it. Zips by 20 again.
  12. I'm from PA...so Pittsburgh teams for me
  13. we need to make sure at least one of the teams leaves with teeth
  14. Yeah, I agree, everyone views it as crap...but the crap of the BCS. As long as they're getting an automatic bid, I'd love to be in it. But, if my math's correct, they're 7-7 in BCS Bowls, but the public doesn't really like facts. They even had the best bowl record since the BCS started as of this article. 24-10 since the 2005-2006 bowl season. I don't want to derail this thread into a big east argument, but...It's not as bad as people think.
  15. The big east has done quite well in BCS bowls, no? WVU over Oklahoma, Georgia, Clemson. Their play has been considerably better than the perception they get. But i agree, it's all about perception. Still the big east, without pitt, wvu, and Cuse is still leaps and bounds ahead of the MAC. Also WVU beat OU after L'Ville beat WF.
  16. Why would one do such a thing?
  17. The problem with bringing 20+ friends is that eventually they'll see the game.. I'll wait till they're better so my friends will come back.
  18. Spin, I don't think anyone is against the Big East, however I doubt our addition to the conference would entice BC to go back.
  19. GP1 is from South Carolina now, I believe that's why he suggested that, not to be rude. Or maybe both
  20. This is the first time I've read it, so i'm not sure. Seems like we'll be in the discussion if things keep up.
  21. From Jay Bilas : 54. Akron Zips After losing five of six early in the year, the Zips have been the winner of seven straight and 11 out of 12 -- Akron lost to VCU in overtime last month. Zeke Marshall is the best player, but there is depth and balance throughout the roster. I like this team. The wins against Mississippi State, Marshall, Ohio and Can't State will put Akron right at the bubble for discussion. Can't link it from my phone for some reason but it's his Bilas Index column.
  22. Updated. Ohio is in a free fall.
  23. Anyone interested in this might want to check out ESPN's new BPI.
  24. East Carolina is a solid program with a GREAT fanbase. Check out their stadium...even on gameday, it's full.
  25. Luckily, we don't need to worry about the sweet sixteen for a month or so. KD has a knack for getting his teams to peak at the right time, and i doubt this year will be any different. Bad news for the MAC, we're 9-1 and haven't peaked yet. Good news for us, they're learning how to win close games, and a tournament run doesn't happen without that.
