sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. We played our worst game in a while and came out with a W on the road to arguably the best team in the west. I can't complain.

Nobody cares about Rice, Tulane, UAB you are right. Nobody cares about EMU, CMU, WMU, Ball State, etc, either. Now imagine hosting a ranked Southern Miss team in both sports. Marshall is still obviously a decent rivalry. Look past the "interesting matchup" part of it and look at the quality of play. Nobody gives a crap about the teams we play now or they'd be at the games.

Southern Miss is ranked in both major sports. ECU is very solid. Marshall. Tulsa is a very nice program. I'll admit the new MWC is terrible, i forgot about boise leaving. But if CUSA was looking for new schools, i'd be thrilled if akron was picked.

Don't underestimate the C-USA with the MWC as it's partner. Basically one big conference.

Hopefully no one is taking these as insults or anything but suggestions. I've mentioned the "clique" thing before but it just got everyone po'd so I didn't wanna be the one that mentioned it lol. The perception, at least, is that it's been the same 15 or so people sitting near the band for the past like 5 years. Don't they have to graduate at some point? Anyway, there's definitely enough students at every game to fill those seats, so something needs to happen. When they were all together for the Can't game (albeit, the highest student turnout of the year) it was a great atmosphere.

25 schollies times 120 or so 1-A teams? Well anyway, I hope you didn't read my post as anything against the kid. I'm excited to get someone that threw for 3700 yards in AAAA and was POY. He's also 6'4" , which surprised me...thought he may have lacked size which would lower interest. And apparently he has Ivy league smarts too. If it's all true, we got a hell of a player.
