Akron has had good luck moving QBs to other positions. Quite often a high school QB is the best athlete on the team, especially at smaller schools.Anyway, I think we'll see more verbals soon, as kids start to realize that the spots are disappearing fast.

Some kids just want to go away for college. Nothing you can do about that.

It says on the job listing for the AD position that we're renovating the basketball arena and soccer stadium, so I'm assuminging that it was referrencing the JAR being re-done.

I found it amusing.I know we count the band in attendance figures. I wonder about the other personnel, though. Maybe we should count both our team and the opposing team and their coaches and staff. That's another 300 or so.

They can always add brick later, just like they can always frame the scoreboard in brick. They're leaving options for future upgrades, so the next AD can put "stadium upgrades" on his resumé.

Everything is lined up for Jacq to do extremely well this year. A group of senior WRs, a veteran line, a great coaching staff, and a talented running game are all there to help him. However, it's still on him to improve his performance in critical situations. No more INTs leading to the other team rallying from behind to win. No more botched handoffs in overtime. None of that stuff.The fact that it's all coming together also means that he'll be on a shorter leash. If he can't play like he is supposed to with all of this, he'll lose the job.

Let's at least wait to see how they're renovating the JAR.An on-campus arena will take longer to plan for than a joint one. However, it might be worth the wait if it means doing it right. We would have to wait for the development of the Greek Village and a few more pending projects to see how the campus is shaping up.

Both good questions. I don't know who he is leaning toward, only that he has offers from Kansas, Cuse, and half the MAC.He could certainly play DB in college. In fact, he might make a better DB than RB.

His GPA is what's keeping him from getting an offer from OSU.FWIW, when I took the ACT many years ago, I was told that 20 is the average score for high school juniors. I don't know if that's changed since then.

I'm wondering if you also wouldn't mind listing the ESPN recruit rating number. They tend to be very different from the other recruiting services and offer some more perspective on how the class is shaping up. For example, Anthony Ritossa is rated a 74 on ESPN and is our best recruit according to them, while he isn't even rated on Scout or Rivals.
