  1. Main screen's in the scoreboard.
  2. I could have sworn we were scrounging for scraps only three weeks ago?We were. Now we're right about where we should be, maybe a little on the low end, as far as quantity of verbals. The quality of the recruits is very good, however.Verbals seem to come in waves. I hope that this will cause some other top prospects out there to follow suit.
  3. ESPN has this to say on him. Seems like a fair assessment of his strengths and weaknesses.
  4. I wish I had a subscription to Rivals. The Iowa board there is going nuts over this. I wish I could see that they're saying.
  5. Cinci, Iowa, and North Carolina offered him. That's a pretty good list.
  6. You beat me to it. This is turning out to be a crazy good class. And all from Ohio, too.
  7. http://admin.xosn.com/fls/9400/FBPressBox/...?DB_OEM_ID=9400I found a Spring Depth Chart on page 4.I don't know how the freshmen coming in will impact it, but this at least gives you an idea.Is Troy Gilmer so good that he was able to take over for Shawn Lemon at Rover just like that?
  8. Good call there, zippyfan34!
  9. When was the the last time the MAC split? When Marshall and UCF left for Conference USA.
  10. 2011 and 2012 will the the years when the conferences will be shuffled around. Half way through teh new BCS contract which was just signed. The Big East will be in danger of losing their auto-bid to the MWC and will make a move to try and hold on to that. I don't want to join a Big East that won't be a BCS league.I think the MAC will split again, soon.
  11. Kid, you either have great sources or brown eyes (the latter b/c you are full of crap). Checked a few on-line sources -- nada on this story. Of course, I live in North Carolina, which is not a hotbed of Big10(11) football.Do you guys run a gameday thread? If you don't mind (assuming I can't get to Happy Valley for this game) I'd like to discuss the game in realtime when it FINALLY gets to 5 Sep.I read that one on the Scout boards. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=157&f=1395&t=4524450Also, we have a live chat feature on gamedays for discussion in realtime.
  12. Haha, I had the same exact thoughts(as witnessed by the comment I just posted on the article).Yep. We're in a conference that doesn't understand that concept, and so I expect the next AD to put us head and shoulders above the MAC in most sports.
  13. http://www.ohio.com/sports/zips/51516967.htmlSo getting back on topic, here's an article about what the university is looking for in the new AD.This line in particular stood out to me: "In this collegiate environment, if you are maintaining, you are falling behind. We are looking for a candidate who understands that."
  14. There's also a Jimmy Johns sandwich shop moving in there, too.
  15. So now I hear that Penn State DT Abe Koroma has been suspended for the year after failing three drug tests.
  16. Akron soccer being a top team warrants discussion of other top teams and out standing relative to them. This is a tough blow for Wake and it will have implications on the national stage.
  17. I think it would be a combination of facilities and coaching that would have been a factor in his decision.
  18. All four of Akron's verbals so far are from Ohio.
  19. Any idea how to get involved in them? I'd love to do this since I'm living in AK for the summer.Looks like another layer is going on the endzone buildings!I honestly don't know.I read it here.
  20. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/ncfnation/0-9-2...r----again.htmlHere's a promotion that's pretty cool. WKU football players are going door-to-door selling tickets. It wouldn't work as well in a city this sized, but they could go around the dorms handing out "tickets" to the students. Also, they could go around in some of the safer neighborhoods selling a range of tickets from season tix to single GA seats. It's harder to refuse something when you're taking face-to-face. JD could teach them some salesman techniques.
  21. Is UA making anything of the grand opening of the stadium?
  22. Kid,If you want to make a suggestion to teh A.D., why not contact teh athletic department? They have a phone and email. I believe this would give you mroe of a chance of having your opinion heard by the person you say tha you want to hear it. I'm pretty sure if you tell them they should be mroe agressive, they will be.Because they won't do something like that just because I called and told them they should do it. Not without seeing that it's more popular of an idea than just one crazy fan. Besides, I'm honestly curious who the team will play next year. Michigan is just one suggestion. There are two open spots from what I can tell.
  23. I started this thread in teh hopes that the AD would read it and see about getting us to play Michigan next year. If we're going to play a road money game, why not do it against a team tha can afford to pay us a huge amount of money? Michigan can afford to pay much more than Michigan State or Kentucky, while possibly being less of a challenge. Then there's the hope of playing them at Browns Stadium in a 2-for-one deal or something.Football scheduling needs to be mroe agressive in getting home games against top teams, like the rest of the MAC is doing. There's no excuse now.
  24. Could you point me to where you saw that? Any site besides ncaapalace.com will do.
  25. I'm confused...Why do you ask a question about who we are playing, then say we are not playing some team. Is this some sort of test?Haha. I'm trying to find out who we're actually playing next year. Michigan State is booked for 2010, and none of the gaems are against Akron.
