We're definitely NOT playing Michigan State next year. Their schedule is Notre Dame, WMU, FAU, and Northern Colorado.

That was a nice test run. Keep an eye out for the next time, and we'll see if we can't get started a bit earlier.

It's hard to say. Some schools are trying to just stay afloat, and to invest a bit in their programs.Also, some schools are extremely committed to all their schools besides football, but not really to football itself (Can't and EMU fit this profile).I believe that it's football or bust in this climate. If your school doesn't have its main focus on football, you should drop to 1-AA where you can keep focus on your other sports.

Reading through this again, it has become clear to me that we HAVE to do something to get a new field for the soccer team. Bake sales, donations, whatever we can. The only thing holding back the construction is a lack of funds. The minute the funds are secured, construction will begin (there's plenty that can be done with out affecting the team during the season, like preparing the area around the field, removing the tennis courts, etc.).

Here's an idea: rent out Canal Park as the home stadium for the baseball team, and build an arena where the baseball field is. It's a bigger area than the JAR's footprint and it's on Exchange. Two huge facility upgrades for two sports. It would help baseball's recruiting and if the marketing was there it would boost attendance (we can't even take attendance at the current baseball field thanks to not having any seats or even a gate) and give it a big-time feel like at southern schools.

That's pretty amazing, considering that he has been advertised as one of the best recruits to ever come to Akron.

I Heard a 60-second radio spot today advertising the 3-game ticket packs. Has a voice over of French calling touchdowns. Much higher quality than the "be a part" things we saw before. Also mentioned "sneak peeks" of the stadium on August 23rd and 29th.
