Apparently they managed to get in a game today. Zips beat EMU 6-3.

Did you even look at the list? Who else on there would you want? And if some professors leave because Tressel is hired, I will rejoice. Anybody throwing a hissy-fit like that shouldn't be tasked with educating at a college level.

This has to be one of the worst and most wrong posts I've seen on here.

Very few applicants that look exciting on that list. The presidency of the university involves so much more than academic knowledge. They have to be a fundraiser, a cheerleader, and a leader that won't take crap from other state universities that work to deny UA resources out of spite (I can't find the exact quote, but Gordon Gee has admitted to doing this while at OSU, to protect his university's status at the expense of the health of the overall state university system). Most of all, they can't be someone who wants to take the university in a direction that would jeopardize or reverse the progress made over the last decade. No going back to being a clone of Cleveland State.

No real upsets so far. Just some undervalued teams beating overvalued ones.

Even more specifically, the point guards and centers need developed in a major way.

Pat Forsythe needs to either hit the gym or develop some quickness. He spent all season getting pushed around or losing position under the basket. He's not strong enough to play Center, and not fast enough to be a PF. He needs to pick a position and get in the right condition to play it.

The PLAYERS need to stop switching on screens.

It's the first post-season game in their program history.

Defense! Virginity! Don't let them score! Seriously. Can we get a stop?

Maybe they've been practicing. Maybe it's finally been forced into their heads that they need to improve. FTs are something that's 100% on the player, and no amount of coaching will help.

IPFW loves to play at a high pace. Need to slow things down and control the game.

The home opener is on Friday, with a double-header against EMU starting at 1:00 at the retention basin Lee Jackson Field.

It means extra practices, to make up for the ones that several players had to miss during the season, and more development of the redshirt players. For a young team, it means that the team is heading in a positive direction. It won't help with recruiting, and it won't sell tickets. But it will help the players, and it lets Q go out on a positive note.

I hope so. If they don't enjoy playing more basketball, they shouldn't be on scholarship. I'd like to see the team win one of these small tournaments and send Q out with a win.

How's his FT shooting %?

They're good for a team that's not senior-laden. With only Q graduating, it's good to get some more games in against teams that are at a similar level.

They're the 12th best FT shooting team in the country. I think they'll be fine.

Neither would I, but I would call them exhausted.

Not having Harney available and McAdams unknowingly playing with mono at WMU was the difference. The team is not intimidated by WMU. The Broncos are a good team, but they were the beneficiaries of MAC scheduling.
