Also, that was my first time at EMU. I know some might thing the arena is a bit of a concrete box, but I liked it. Surprised to see it was over 20 years old. I really liked the lobby with the glass wall overlooking the football stadium.
1) Mikal was very vocal playing defense during his time on the court. You could tell he was excited for his minutes.
2) Reese was very vocal after everything good he did... drawing fouls, snatching rebounds, and alley oops. Love his swagger. More dunks please.
3) The real mvp was the noise meter on the jumbotron. That thing managed to go off the charts and break itself with only 15 people church-clapping
I’m bringing the family up, thanks for the breakfast reco. Maybe a little Tony Packos victory dinner on the way back.
We’ll buy seats at the game. Hope they don’t sell out!
I like this move. I can’t comment on how the schedule has been in recent years, but 10 years ago in engineering I had classes MWF with an occasional T lab, or T Th classes. So it was near impossible to have an open day of the week. The closest I’d get is a Thursday with only one or two classes. I would have liked to compress my schedule to only four days.
Damn, I just spent all weekend downtown and now I'm in Sandusky for the week. Hopefully it was a good showing so they'll have it again. Did anyone go and can comment?
And while we're at it, can we do away with teachers unions? Like you said, you're degreed professionals, sometimes with PhD's. Time to stop acting like you need collective protection like you're working in a coal mine in the 1950's.
Completely agree, we should do away with this dog and pony show of an evaluation system. People can tell who the bad teachers are after five minutes in the classroom. Let the Principal decide who to fire and move on, just like in the corporate world.
