I like this move. I can’t comment on how the schedule has been in recent years, but 10 years ago in engineering I had classes MWF with an occasional T lab, or T Th classes. So it was near impossible to have an open day of the week. The closest I’d get is a Thursday with only one or two classes. I would have liked to compress my schedule to only four days.

Completely agree, we should do away with this dog and pony show of an evaluation system. People can tell who the bad teachers are after five minutes in the classroom. Let the Principal decide who to fire and move on, just like in the corporate world.

Overall I like the addition of transfers who are RFr and So. Vastly different then one year rentals. I think that's a viable strategy. Keep after these kids who went to big schools and then saw the writing on the wall.

It will come... we're really at a tipping point right now. Win 2 games in the tourney to get national talk and see what happens. If we had made the tourney last year and won one game, then beat YSU to start this year, with our only two losses against top 10 teams... I think we'd be ranked right now. I have to believe that would have led to a sellout last night. For better or worse our fan base is jaded. They know we'll win 20+ games but then it's 50/50 whether we make the tournament and we're never ranked.

I was one of the first members of the AK-Rowdies. Me and my buddy attended every football and basketball game. I changed the lyrics to "For Boston" and taught everyone on the bus to Detroit for the bowl game. Do do they still do the AK... ROWDIE! Chant anymore? Nothing was better than when we invaded the ksu student section and flipped out shirts inside out, screaming ak rowdy and jumping around. As for a song, can we contact VEC and pay them for the song, maybe even get it polished up a little. For its time and budget it was a pretty good hook. As a backup plan, pick something by the Black Keys, even play the YouTube video where they give a shoutout to Akron, Swensons and Luigis.

Capt - thanks for this post. And thank you and all the owners and moderators for the work you do. I'm a big lurker and I read nearly everything that gets written on this board. I enjoy K92 and was not overly offended by his posts, but I appreciate his apology and do hope he continues posting here. As you can see I don't post much despite being active on this board for nearly a decade. I had to speak up when a certain poster crossed what I thought was a line. We've all supported Akron through some pretty dark days, and we know that getting whupped by Wisky is something we just have to get through. I'd rather try to stomach that loss without a fellow Zips fan sayin that I eat from Terry's butt or slob his knob. That was a truly smh moment. But... I've seen plenty of posters call out that nonsense and rally together. So thanks again to all the great fans and posters on this site. Go Zips and I'll quaff a stein with any of you.
