Crowd has filled in nicely. Upper deck even almost full. Probably more creighton fans than Akron. But all the neutral fans are cheering when we hit a three.

Took my oldest son to the game last night. At halftime someone asked about the buckeye score, and my son turns to me and says “OSU… are they in league below Akron?” bro I choked up like I was watching Rudy.

I don’t usually watch the postgame videos, but I couldn’t pass on Ali and Freeman laughing. Key takeaway: my GOD those guys are high character young men that make me proud to be a Zip.

10000% this ^ Even do it for the lower seats - maybe one kid ticket under 16 per paying adult? You would only lose a little money, and the bottom would be filled with enthusiastic fans. And kids sitting that close to the action and these larger than life athletes would be hooked for life. -

He was the coach when I was in school and I met him and was on the practice squad for a hot minute. He is flat out a phenomenal human being. It’s weird to say that was the golden age of Akron D1 football… but it was and I’m ecstatic that he’s back in the program. -

I think it’s better. The pencil had nothing to do with the school and it was comically dangerous.

Interesting that they say Bubba was granted eligibility, but decided to move on. Not that I blame him as 6 years is a long time, but the last I heard he wasn’t granted the eligibility.

Yeah, promising that it took them OT at their house. Carry mouthing “they said I was overrated” to the camera like a dozen times also bodes well. He’s such a head case. It works when he’s making ridiculous shots, and when the averages even out he destroys himself and becomes a non factor. So hyped for the semis!

I’ll say this, if Akron players did that at KSU, I would not be crowing or proud of the team I root for. I agree with whoever said blow kisses and wave as you walk of the floor. This was a total classless move.

Let’s try not to start pitting the vaxed players against their teammates. Vaccinated people are testing positive and spreading it as well. Nearly the whole NFL is vaccinated and it’s not making a difference for spread. And I’m fully vaxed and definitely think it helps prevent severe infection.
