    Shout out to Hilltopper for the club tickets. An absolutely first class experience on the club level… hopefully the on field product improves and more people get to experience it. Exciting fourth quarter and a beautiful day.

    We made a couple million. I made $100. The quarterback only got somewhat hurt. Buckeye fans said we looked pretty good. The all white kits looked slick for the road.

    I’m going. My in-laws have OSU player tickets from a dude they know that played there in the 70’s. So I’ll be the one Akron fan down low surrounded by former players, being super annoying when we score first.

    I doubt we’ll pull it off, but this is the first step towards the self checkout model. I’ve been to quite a few arenas with this setup, including the tourney game, and I really like it for speed.

    Crowd has filled in nicely. Upper deck even almost full. Probably more creighton fans than Akron. But all the neutral fans are cheering when we hit a three.

    Took my oldest son to the game last night. At halftime someone asked about the buckeye score, and my son turns to me and says “OSU… are they in league below Akron?” bro I choked up like I was watching Rudy.

    I don’t usually watch the postgame videos, but I couldn’t pass on Ali and Freeman laughing. Key takeaway: my GOD those guys are high character young men that make me proud to be a Zip.

    I think somehow tying them to “rubber black” is a nice touch, even if it’s forced.

    10000% this ^ Even do it for the lower seats - maybe one kid ticket under 16 per paying adult? You would only lose a little money, and the bottom would be filled with enthusiastic fans. And kids sitting that close to the action and these larger than life athletes would be hooked for life.

    He was the coach when I was in school and I met him and was on the practice squad for a hot minute. He is flat out a phenomenal human being. It’s weird to say that was the golden age of Akron D1 football… but it was and I’m ecstatic that he’s back in the program.

    Interesting that they say Bubba was granted eligibility, but decided to move on. Not that I blame him as 6 years is a long time, but the last I heard he wasn’t granted the eligibility.

    Yeah, promising that it took them OT at their house. Carry mouthing “they said I was overrated” to the camera like a dozen times also bodes well. He’s such a head case. It works when he’s making ridiculous shots, and when the averages even out he destroys himself and becomes a non factor. So hyped for the semis!

    Crazy that we love the sound of him, and the SEC media hated him. Just a different expectation and regional dialect I suppose. Their loss is our gain.
