  1. I just perused channel 3's website and did not see the rendering. Can you post a link to the rendering you saw?If you check here linklook at the section below the video player...it automatically shows two photos one being the "old" rendering according to someone else here on the site. This makes sense as they also pointed out the missing end zone facility!
  2. The new renderings are actually old renderings before the board approved anything. The block style dorms were before Ted Curtis put the finishing touches on the residence project (they will be of the same style as the honors and Exchange st dorms) and you will notice that in the stadium itself the north endzone facility is missing. The rendering is a stock photo that WKYC has.Ahh...yes how could I catch the difference in the dorms yet overlook the missing end zone building! Thanks for clearing that up!
  3. Did anyone notice the new stadium/complex rendering on the channel 3 website on the bottom right hand side? The dorms on exchange look different? They have a different set up almost like they were being built around Manny's? Also the brick design was different from the initial renderings on the stadium website. Now that Manny's is ready to be crushed how are they going to build it? which renderings are correct? who knows? And on the tailgating front...We did the best we could with what we were given! Plenty of time to improve on it now though! It's almost football time though!
  4. Does anyone know if they are planning on adding more seats in the gap shown in between the upper section and the club/lodges...seems to be avery large gap still or this is a bad angle. It would see from the renderings that there should be more capacity on that second level than there is now. Seems like a big chunk left to do?The stands will connect to the tower. However, they have to set up the external wall structure for the 4 lower stories before they start putting in the steal for the remainder of the upper deck. Otherwise it will be difficult (impossible) to move the fork lifters around down there carrying the external wall materials.Nice...thanks for clearing that up!

  6. I don't know how accurate this is, or if it is helpful, but on my Time Warner tv guide, for the Zips' time slot it reads: "WOIO CBS, College Basketball 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Akron vs. Gonzaga: NCAA Tournament First Round Game 3. From Portland, Ore."So it looks like CBS will be broadcasting the game in it's entirety, though they are likely to cut away occasionally for brief updates and look-ins from other regions.Awesome...thanks I am at work so I can't check my TV...I tried the Time warner website but that is like trying to get through to their customer service people when the cable goes out.If I can find anyone to come with I may still go to the OBC...never been and it sound like fun.
  7. I searched the net already but does anyone know if they will air the entire game on CBS that night or if they will show a different game. It says CBS HD Regional so it appears that it will but I want to be sure. If not I will need to find a babysitter now to come to the OBC.Is there a special tourney package you can purchase on Time warner?
  8. Nothing like a good band fight!Seriously I remember my first ACME Zips game, it was packed. I was probably 12 or 13 years old, it was against Salem College from Virginia I believe and the bowl was bursting at the seams. It was a great atmosphere...large cookout before the game at one of my stepdads friends house and there was a caravan of cars that went to the game afterwards.I miss those days when I used to go to the Rubber Bowl on Friday nights for the City series doubleheader and then back on Saturday for the Zips game. I forget what league they were in then, maybe the OVC? I know I saw them play Eastern Kentucky and Murray State. I also remeber a last second field goal win/loss against Eastern Michigan when they were the Hurons and had white helmets.Hopefully those days of crowds and memories will be present in the new stadium for the next generation of kids. It used to be cool to go to Zips games for younger kids...I do not think that is the case anymore.Oh and the griping about the $15 dollar tickets...yeah I was one of those, but I did some research and I found it is a good deal regardless of where they play at currently...so those of you you hammered on me...thank you.
  9. Well unfortunately I am not "in the know" enough like you, to be able to locate them. How about some help for next time, or is this just a forum for people to berate others for their opinions instead of helping each other out?Believe me I have given that damned university more money than I have ever wanted to via parking passes and fees etc...and really did not want to give anymore, but it is my favorite college football team and I wanted to see the game.Just ask people. Everyone at our tailgate who didn't have tickets go them for free. They just asked around. There's always a few guys out there whose companies have tickets and of course, no one comes, so they just find people to give them to.But I still say $15 is a good price for D1 football. Not gonna get that at OSU, PSU, UM, etc.Thank you for the advice, I will have to give that a try next time, just hope I do not seem like a mooch. Also not gonna get the level of football or the facilities either so I guess it is all relevant. I guess $15 is not horrible, just kind of annoying when I was not expecting it. I am just broke and grumpy and tired of seeing them squander away victories, and of the splinters in my ass from the bleachers. But now I get to choose my splinters, either wood or fiberglass!
  10. Maybe...but please explain how the money you paid UA in the past for parking passes and fees had anything to do with the game on Saturday. You didn't give them anything on Saturday. You purchased a ticket for the event.I just feel there some fees as a student I paid that were unwarranted and/or too expensive such as a parking pass, yet I never seemed to find an available spot. And I felt the ticket for the game at $15 was overpriced. It is just my opinion and I am beginning to feel that I am the minority in this debate as everyone so far seems to think that $15 is a fair price to pay to sit in that hole and watch a football game. The tickets prices have increased, yet they have done nothing to warrant the increase. Demand for the product is definitely not up! Now I am sure that some of the price of admission is going towards the new stadium and I am fine with that, but I would just hope they would make a bit more affordable for people seeing as how the attendance sucks and the stadium is crap. I would like to see a great crowd there once again as it is the last season. Why could they not charge $15 for reserved $10 for GA?Hell, they could have left the end zones open and charged $5Does the university not get a portion of the profits for the game ticket sales?

  12. For Christ's sake, you're complaining about a $15 ticket! That's a sports bargain anywhere, crap hole or not. That is pretty much what they are charging next year as well right...at a brand new stadium!I really cannot see the justification...sorry. I have been going to the RB for years and have made several road trips to away games, championship game, bowl game and I just cannot see where they get $15 froma ll of a sudden especially at the RB. If they want to bring in more people, families etc...then $15 is too much. there were plenty of seats available that they could have possibly filled at $7-10. But to drag my azz all the way out there and then be told $15 and then to tell me I could not even sit where I had been sitting every year for the past 5-6 years I felt was a bit too much.No wonder there were so many people who didi not even go into the game! They just stayed in the lot and hung out.How much were GA tix last year or the year before?
  13. Absolutely winnable game.My gripes: $15 for an effin' ticket? Who are they kidding? to sit in that hole!I was shocked, but I was there so I had no choice!
  14. Why not just make 10 louder?
  15. That is the coolest thing I have seen yet. They should have the blimp take some pics every week and upload them somehwere to document the progress at another angle. I always see that thing floating around.
  16. I had made a post in another thread that basically stated that Infociscion Stadium will NOT be in NCAA 2010 unless construction is completed by February 2009. There was a Q&A forum on the Operation Sports website with the developers of the NCAA series and they said they need new stadiums/upgrades etc to be completed by Feb of that year to get in the game...and they do not create stadiums from renderings, they need real photographs. In fact, the developers were not even aware that we were building a new stadium until June of this year...I guess that info is supposed to be delivered to EA by the school directly.I should ask where Zippy went?!!! S.O.B's
  17. Does anyone think it is a bad decision that the first Zips home game vs Ball State is slated for 6pm when Ohio State plays USC at 8pm?They could have made it a noon or 3pm game and made one hell of a day for football! Why do they constantly do things like this?
  18. I didn't. I wouldn't expect it, though.I'm not, just wishful thinking. An outside hope that someone in marketing would have had enough foresight to send imaging information to EA.Hello Unfortunately I do not think the new stadium will be in next years NCAA 2010 football game either. There is a site called Operation Sports where the developers of the NCAA football series were answering questions and someone had inquired about the addition of the new stadium in the game for 2010 and the developer had not even heard that we were building a new Stadium! questionhttp://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football/251243-adam-thompson-ncaa-designer-q-thread-86.htmlnot so promising responsehttp://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football/251243-adam-thompson-ncaa-designer-q-thread-88.htmland this was in June of this year. The poster forwarded the stadium website and the developer responded that it may not be done in time to add to the game. I also was reading info from another developer on the same site who mentioned that all new stadiums have to be completed by February at the latest to be able to make it into the game, and they will not use renderings to complete the stadiums, they want actual photos. It seems the more cooperative the school is the better.
