BadAZZ!!! The university posted numerous updates on Twitter and sent letters to members of national and local media outlets teasing "#OperationBlacktop." The court was delivered via police escort on Friday before being installed on Sunday evening. The marketing campaign drew national attention, as did the ultimate unveiling. Jones said UCF players were impressed when they got their first in-person look at the court earlier Monday morning. "Coach Jones shot me a text and told me about it and he gave me a little picture of it and it was a great court," said senior guard Isaiah Sykes, a C-USA first team selection who averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds last season. "And it turned out even better on the court. It's all exciting, and I'm looking forward to playing on it." Jones said the team will also be getting new uniforms for the 2013-14 season, and Sykes hinted that the prospective designs include a pinstripe look. The designs are in early stages, however, and only some mock-up designs exist right now. Source Story makes SIs Extra Mustard Sporting News has a video posted along with a bunch of new court designs...including Buffalos! PS Still wish UCF and Marshall were in the Mac.

Zeke went one on one with Randall Holt of Ken+. Source. "It went very well," Holt, who went to Glenville High School, said in a release issued by Can't State. "They had us competing against each other in one-on-one situations and then three-on-three situations. We did some stationary shooting, as well as shooting on the move. I shot the ball well from 3 (point range) and feel good about how I performed."

Nice article. The Mac used to be fun back when players were getting drafted. Hopefully the league can get back to that level. Quote seems to reflect a lot of opinions in this very thread. "You'd like him to be a better rebounder," said Dambrot. "But I think that will improve. I know he's on the bubble to be drafted. I just hope he goes to the right team where they can work with him -- because he can play in the league if he's coached and given time to develop."

Thats real research. Nice job.

This will be the next guy to take the NFL to Europe.

Lot Niners™ love the six pm games. More time for pre tailgating...and post tailgating is usually fun for the diehards. Noon game in Michigan ruins chance to tailgate.

YES!!! Tired of "thinking", time for some DOING.

Doesn't sound like it. Article about the 2012 labor deal Maybe Ochocinco can help a team sell a few dozen tickets if he doesn't play soccer this year.

Picked a bottle of Rince Cochon up awhile ago at Heinen's on sale. Popped the cork for the Stanley Cup game last night. Highly recommended. Goes good with goals. Rince Cochon (according to the interweb means Hog Wash)

When a three star QB recruit commits in June and is quoted about the overall number one pick. I would say that is a change. Chandler Kincade: My family and I, since I decommitted, we never looked down at the MAC. You see the guys who come out of [the conference]. This year they have the No. 1 pick.”

I'm trying to decide what to pray for. He stays with the Zips and has a great college career, or he switches his commit to Cowlumbus and goes 4-20 for his career. Ahhh, what the heck, I'll go with the Zips. I believe Chandler plays in New Castle in October, about an hour drive from Akron. Could be a fun trip for ZN.

Full Article Here Northern Illinois is still your MAC favorite, but not as heavy a favorite as you might think. The Huskies have run roughshod over the league for three straight seasons, going 25-2 and only narrowly missing out on three straight MAC titles thanks to Miami's 2010 championship game upset. Mid-American Northern Illinois +200 Bowling Green +460 Ohio +500 Ball State +600 Toledo +650 Can't State +850 Buffalo +1050 Western Michigan +1800 Miami-Ohio +1800 Central Michigan +2000 Massachusetts +2300 Akron +2800 Eastern Michigan +7000 For those of you that have no idea what this means. Think of it like this. If you bet 1 candy bar on NIU, you will get 2 candy bars back if they win. If you bet 1 candy bar on Akron, and they win, you will get 28 candy bars back. Funny side note on odds: Talking to a head coach recently. "If you don't think ever coach in the SEC knows what the line is on every game, those fans let them know, you better believe that! And they better cover" I always assumed coaches pay attention to lines. Not that the above odds are game lines, but still relevant.

I thought of another tid bit that Coach Bowden was talking to ZipsNation about, defense. I believe his quote was "this year our defense may dictate what we do on offense. Depending on how we play on defense we might slow the offense down at times." This made me think of one of the things that coach first said when he got here, "we need to find a way to win at Akron." I believe his initial philosophy was to get as many snaps as he could on offense. After some experience in the MAC, that may not be the case so much. So hopefully we see some times this season where the defense is playing good, and we can efficiently run some time off the clock on scoring drives.

According to George's twitter, Tree is having a precautionary MRI on his knee.

Does this help you understand? Cigarette Tax Will Affect Low-Income Americans Most Cigarette taxes ...likely to affect low-income Americans as it is to affect high-income Americans. That's because 34% of the lowest-income Americans smoke, compared with only 13% of those earning $90,000 or more per year. Take a guess how the Vikings will help pay for their new stadium???

Haters? For all the support that ZN has shown Zeke for over four years, isn't that a little harsh? Reminder: February 2008, ZipNation was on the bandwagon, and it hasn't stopped since.

Toured GL brewery last week. Second tour in 10 years. Ten years ago if memory serves correctly, they had 12 employees, today 66. Its a very nice tour if you have time, the tour guide is super knowledgable and filled with corny jokes. No oatmeal stout Keener. Had the milk stout though, maybe that is what you meant. It was average. Tried the Wright Pils, I liked it for a guy that's not a huge fan of pils. My favorite is still Glockenspiel. So as much as I used to say I wasn't a fruit beer fan, I am now. I like enough to say that I am. Had a 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon Wheat at Rays last week. Delicious. Edit: DO NOT buy this in cans! Major difference between tap and can. Major. This should be bottled.

Sixth headline listed in the Pittsburgh Tribune. Does anyone actually get this paper? I would be curious as to what page the article was on. Congrats to assistant coach AJ

Wouldn't this be a good place to paste a link to the article that you refer to?

Don't tell that to Big Snack! Hopefully Tree's conditioning/diet are an influence. If not, keep feeding him and get him a helmet.

I would guess the below quote from George has something to do with coaches comments on MTB to us. From George's "Notebook" Here is his Twitter. I like his photo, very comic book-esque. From the video on twitter, he looks to have an impressive move off the line in press coverage. Maybe a minor adjustment though.
