  1. That usually puts the kibosh on a lot of game plans. Think 2011 Zips.
  2. I did. I watched a few FSU games this season. Their defense is awesome, especially up front. I'm guessing the NIU staff looked at film and determined FSU was too fast to run a lot of perimeter plays. I think the strength of there defense against NIU was the middle. I would have attacked elsewhere. FSU is a great college team. It was fun to watch the MAC champ go up against them.
  3. Not sure I trust an article that claims that Chuck is under Bobby Bowden at Akron??? Butch Davis to Coach FIU Hits Snag
  4. NZF=MIA... NIU looking like they belong so far. They need to ditch the QB run up the middle. FSU studied that one. Half time adjustments might determine outcome. I like Pryor.
  5. Who is TB rooting for tonight?
  6. Jason Taylor listed 1 of the 28 biggest retirees of 2012 on Sports Illustrated's site. A six-time Pro Bowl defender, Taylor played the final game of his 15-year career on Jan. 1. The longtime Dolphin and 2006 Defensive Player of the Year finished his career sixth all-time with 139.5 sacks.
  7. Score more points then they do.
  8. Akron is an EIGHT point favorite.
  9. Mr. Faust has given many more years to UA then Mr Columbus. If Mr C. accumulates the years that Jerry has at UA, I'll eat my hat. Apples and oranges.
  10. What could one do with all this "research?" Two words, money, line...
  11. Understood. How to ignore a user All talk future talk on the subject will be limited to this thread.
  12. The Tigers seem to find a way to lose.
  13. No.
  14. If it meant playing division II, no. That level is not entertaining to me.
  15. But you would be excited dropping down a division and playing Div II teams?
  16. I think that's a good point. I remember multiple times last season TB said "we need to find the formula to win at Akron." I like a coach that has an open mind and is willing to adjust to his environment. I will definitely ask TB if his thinking is the same on QBs the next time I get a chance to speak to him. (If George T wants, he can ask the question)
  17. Akron is a 12 point favorite. Pertaing to the article, KD needs to learn to use the media to help sell tickets. You might say "that's not his job," and you might be right, but TB takes every opportunity to do so. If your not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. The article rubbed me the wrong way. I thought I might be reading into it, until other posters confirmed my thoughts.
  18. That article is about ticket prices on the secondary ticketing websites. The list below is from that article. I went to the Florida Georgia game this year, just looked at my ticket, I paid $60 face value. I wasn't sitting front row, but I didn't have the worst seat either. $464 for a ticket for that game??? I would have felt like a fool after watching that "game" if I paid that. Ten Most Expensive Games By Average Listed Ticket Price 1. Alabama @ LSU, $632.71 2. Michigan vs. Bama @ Cowboys Stadium, $595.42 3. Texas vs. Oklahoma @ Cotton Bowl, $541.39 4. Michigan @ Notre Dame, $525.39 5. Auburn @ Alabama, $481.66 6. Florida vs. Georgia @ Everbank Stadium, $463.82 7. Notre Dame v Miami @ Soldier Field, $448.69 8. Notre Dame @ Oklahoma, $419.47 9. Army vs. Navy @ Lincoln Financial Field, $401.31 10. Wisconsin @ Nebraska, $397.82
  19. GameChngr44 is very good at picking a spot where it makes sense, and not inundating threads.
  20. Full Article Here If you look at their basketball backgrounds, there would be no clue Waters would have 300 career victories. Or that Dambrot would own 297. Or that at age 61, Waters would have just signed a seven-year contract to keep coaching at Cleveland State. Or that at age 54, Dambrot would have a 10-year deal to remain coaching at Akron. "It's pretty amazing -- for both of us," Dambrot said. "I was a baseball player in college. I had a problem and was out of college coaching (for 11 years) in the middle of my career. Gary came from little Ferris State. "It's not like we had big-name coaches in our corner who gave us jobs. We had to work our way up." Waters and Dambrot were both in a reflective mood as their teams prepared to play Sunday at 2 p.m. at Akron's Rhodes Arena. "I know that some people aren't happy that we're 5-4 right now," Dambrot said. "But we usually do start slow. And the fact is, what counts in the MAC is how you finish." CSU is 7-4, but this is Waters' youngest team. The only senior is Tim Kamczyc. CSU's best player is sophomore Anton Grady, who is expected to miss the rest of the season because of knee surgery.
  21. Maybe start a thread, "Official 2012/13 Stats" in the basketball forum, you can go wild with all your research. The posters that find it useful can click on that thread.
