  1. Incase anybody wants to know what this is about (click here). Bracket
  2. I don't have a problem with closing seats to make it more seem more crowded, it may even create some more directed noise to bother the opponent. If an NFL team can do it, surely the Zips can do it. The Dolphins needed to do the same this year. Make sure you do it with a graphic like the Jags.
  3. Want to get your career started, catch the eye of super talent agent, Brent Dustburger.
  4. These guys always seem to bring their "A" game when it comes time to play Akron. I hope the Zips step it up a notch come February. I would like to beat these particular seniors three times this season and send them out with their bras in a knot.
  5. I always thought the bigger the game (Ken+/tourney), the better Zeke played. I'm sure some stat geek can try to prove me wrong, but I can always tell he has extra energy in those games.
  6. 7'2 is very tall, but I have not seen Rudy Gobert from France play yet. From that highlight video, I see some similarities. I would be interested to see his low light video as well.
  7. KD vs Izzo Round 2.
  8. Good point. I consider it TBD. My "determination" is the same as the goal that Zeke set for himself. If he comes close, I consider the hype was lived up to since his goal hasn't been reached in my lifetime. I circled this year on the calendar the day he committed. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  9. According to the PD's poll, the majority would welcome LBJ back. I've seen crazier things in sports happen. Are the Zips starting the turnaround with the bobble-head give away?
  10. Dustburger actually ended up doing her a favor?!?
  11. I thought about this for a little bit. I'm okay with the idea. I'm not sure I agree with a "slap in the face." I could be wrong, but I'm guessing more than a few current players end up with one. I'm all for honoring former players, but what bobblehead is going to be recognized by Joe Akron when you hand it to them at the entrance, Ball, Bosley? I'll give the marketing department credit for making this happen. I understand Cleveland fans don't like LBJ, but haven't we filled ZN with posts about how Akron fans want to separate from Cleveland? I also agree with GP1, make five thousand and hand them out as fans walk out the door. Sell the rest. I'm a tad nervous about giving a Cleveland fan this on the way in with the amount of embarrassing energy directed toward referees by some fans at the JAR.
  12. Nice job WZ.
  13. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but they keep it in the back. They told me they get a limit of one case a month, and it is sold to there "regulars." I would not consider myself a "regular." I would guess you could purchase. I actually asked for three philosophers, and she said "Three Floyd's?" I said you have it? Don't let em know I told you.
  14. Found a secret stash of Three Floyds Zombie Dust last night. I know I recommended this place before. They continue to increase their stock. They have also added six more coolers of single beers. I will now highly recommend. It's worth a trip.
  15. I specifically chose that one and not this one
  16. Yep, that's it, thanks. It reads like I remember. PS Nice overview of the Mac QZ, looks like the Zips will continue eating their way through 'Cupcake Tour 2013'
  17. Congratulations Luke!
  18. I was going to mention this but decided against it. But since you did...I tried looking up that thread you started before the season entitled something like "Are we going to run this year," but couldn't find it. There was some trap discussion in there. Anyway, I would say the percentage that the Broncos scored off the trap was greater than the percentage they scored when we didn't run the trap last night. Disappointing. I've seen lower seeds in the tourney have success against higher seeds running the trap. I don't see us doing that.
  19. Why do I feel like I'm being set up? Ill bite, yes. I think this is a pretty obvious though, right? But you think a win over emu or ub is really going to wow a potential recruit? On top of whatever minor benefit beating some of the worst teams in D1, I care more about my entertainment value. I want to beat teams that we are not expected to beat. I suppose you could argue player confidence...
  20. Thank you for the update GC44.
  21. I read the Western coach said that was the worst game they have played. For Bronco fans, I hope that statement is true. That Bronco team I watched last night was AWFUL. The Zips were sleep walking the first half. They looked uninterested. Walsh energized them the second half. He played like his hair was on fire for 2 minutes straight, then KD substituted. I sure would like to see more ball screen plays set up for BW. Pat played a nice offensive game. He mentioned after the game he worked very hard on his offensive footwork with his high school coach. He makes a quick decision, and then has a quick release. If he progresses, he will learn better position under the hoop defensively. He missed three potential blocks last night that I think he will eventually start getting. Tree looks in shape to me. When he wants to, he can dominate. He has to stay focused for all his minutes. I'll hold the rest of my comments until a later date.
  22. Recommending Trestman For Browns Coach
  23. Your right, it's about wins. I'm not a huge stats guy, but if you look at overall defense, I would guess we improved. I remember TB expressing that one of his biggest concerns on defense was take-aways this season, I would guess that stat is probably up too. PS #1 defense in the NFL is watching the playoffs from their couches this season.
