  1. For those in the area, and those that attend the Tournament at the Q. I had a nice stout at the See Saw Pretzel Shoppe at the Cavs game last week. Pretzels were pretty good too.
  2. I blame GP1. GP1, can you predict that KD won't win another game this year, so we can start winning?
  3. I took the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad down to Akron this fall, on the tour they referenced how the river fire effected Akron at the time. Sounded like a plight. Wiki
  4. Pittsburgh ranked 10th CLEANEST city. Pittsburgh’s come a long way from its steel factory days. The city was voted the 10th cleanest city in the world by Forbes magazine on April 16, ranking it alongside such cities as Montreal, Vancouver, and Geneva. Cities that made the cut were noted for their democracy and industrialization, specifically recycling efforts, waste control, transportation infrastructure, and energy generation and regulation, according to the magazine. Most of the cities were from countries with relatively high purchasing power — proof that a country has to have money to invest in green practices and can only sustain such practices if they produce a profit.
  5. Akron Comes in at #15!?!? 15. Akron, Oh. The Cuyahoga used to be famous as "The River That Burned" from all the petrochemicals that got dumped into it. Though the river has come back to life, groundwater contamination remains, as does air pollution carried here by coal-fired power plants. Sperling Air Quality Index: 20 Sperling Water Quality Index: 36 PS I like how there is a google ad on the page that advertises a hotel to stay in the city. 19. Cleveland, Oh. On the shores of Lake Erie, the Cleveland-Elyria-Mentor metro area is home to 2 million people and a long history of heavy manufacturing that for decades pumped toxins into the air as well as the Cuyahoga River. These days, according to the EPA, the biggest toxic emitter is the ArcelorMittal metals plant. Sperling Air Quality Index: 29 Sperling Water Quality Index: 35
  6. Source Rivals Big, strong kid who stays low off the ball and is effective in the run game. Gets under defenders' pads and is a good drive blocker. In pass protection, he needs to improve his technique, particularly his footwork. Overall speed and explosion work will help his game, but he is a naturally powerful kid who has pretty solid technique in the run game. - Allen Trieu
  7. I'll take Gonzaga.
  8. Do a search on bucknuts and I bet you'll come up with the "rumor"
  9. @GeorgeThomasABJ
  10. Word was the wicker on their peach basket was loose. 1940!?!? How sad.
  11. As a general trend, in the past decade, if Akron is favored (by more than 3) they win, if they are not (by less than 3), they lose. Not many, if any, upsets.
  12. WatchESPN 360 Events on right side. It will also appear on Firstrow.
  13. Stop wasting all of your good ideas on ZN, get over to EA sports immediately. They could market 'NCAA Football 2014' off of this idea.
  14. In general I think the 2012 team would do better with the 2005 schedule (+1.5), and the 2005 team might not have did as well with the 2012 schedule(-1.5).
  15. His half time adjustments were spot on against the Zips this year. Probably reads ZN.
  16. I would be more interested to see the 2012 Zips play the 2005 schedule with the 2012 weather but at 2005 beer and gas prices.
  17. I hate watching successful coaches leave the MAC....but I hate Ken+.
  18. They showed that highlight/lowlight on PTI last night. I chuckled a little...then felt embarrassed.
  19. Step by step instructions on how to link a url PS This thread is eerily familiar!?!?
  20. No, but I do see a Ken+ basketball or football advertisement every week in the Twinsburg paper. I also just peaked at Ken+s schedule, no Sunday (NFL day) games at Memorial A & C Center. Smart. Internet streaming, off-the-court distractions, one-and-done players, lack of student interest, or a combination of these factors???? Digital Distance Fan Hurts Attendance When the regular season has become overexposed and overshadowed — and overpowered in the fall by college football and the NFL— what do you do? Start play in January instead of November. It's a radical proposal that former coach, athletics director and NCAA basketball committee chairman C.M. Newton has long championed. "You'd have to have April Madness instead of March Madness. What's the big deal?" he asks.
  21. Thanks, I needed a new one for the holiday season. That will work. Get him on campus today while it's still 60 degrees.
  22. Demetrius tweeted this image today.
  23. This is becoming surreal. To put it mildly, he has a nose for the ball. Janoris Saves the Rams season???
  24. Sportsman of the Year.
  25. I would rather run a play that takes advantage of the weakness of our opponent. I don't care who the player is. Players will change, concept will stay the same. Different opponents have different weaknesses, so you need to come up with more than one play. We need to do a better job of studying film. When we make this weakness a strength, our good team will have a chance to be great.
