  1. I don't need to make a wish list, TB's philosophy is ballz on...get big boys on the lines and speed on the corners. Go get the best that fit your system.
  2. I did not. Thanks. Doesn't surprise me. If I coached Tennessee, run middle would have been sixty percent of my plays. I'm looking forward to hearing about the other side of the ball, the one he is "in charge" of.
  3. Being how honest TB is, it should be an interesting coaches show this week. Looking forward to his comments about the second half.
  4. Agreed, I would imagine some here have voted as many times as I have. ZN is probably 75% of the vote...if not more.
  5. Dalton is currently 47th with 130 votes.
  6. Putting the kids on the team aside for a moment, going to see the Zips play at Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, Wisconsin, NC State, etc is FUN for the fans. It's not that fun going to see games at Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, OU. So as a fan, I want to go see the Zips play bigger teams so the fans experience a great football environment. As a fan of the progrUm, I want to beat the best. To beat the best you have to play the best. I almost didn't believe this anymore until seeing TB's offensive scheme. I am now turned around, and believe we can score on anybody. We obviously need to work on our defense, but I think in time that will come. IMO, Bring on the big boys! Schedules are made years ahead of time, so it's hard to judge years from now who will be at what level in their respective conference.
  7. BG fans are just miffed because their favorite football team is ineligible for a bowl this year. They'll be in better spirits next football season.
  8. Vote today. Dalton is in 52nd with. 81 votes. Tyler Tettleton from OU is in 17th place with 666. We should at least try to get 1st in the MAC.
  9. I like the left side of the banner....but right side is off.
  10. Done. He currently has 19 votes.
  11. I'll be on my feet cheering when/if he returns. Good luck Q.
  12. Agreed. Is "criticism" what is going on in this thread, or is it evaluation? I think of criticism as a derogatory term, evaluation seems to be a more fitting description of what is going on to me. I'll let you wordsmiths figure it out. I wonder if Michael Jordon was "criticized" his freshman year or did everybody around him just tell him he was great, don't change a thing?
  13. At this rate, we might need a Bobby Bowden folder for NZF. Bobby Bowden doesn't do push ups he pushes the world down Back to the topic. Will Marquelo get an invite to the combine this year being on the watch list? Hixon was on the list too, and didn't get an invite after being eighth in the nation in receiving yards and seventh in all-purpose yards his senior year. That's a pretty big watch list!?!?
  14. I LOVE hearing him speaking about game planning! First Akron coach I have heard since Owens & Huggins talk about it.
  15. Ooo ooo, do me. Who was the only WR coach to coach two different Biletnikoff award winners?
  16. The entertainment value of Zips basketball just decreased this year.
  17. Try Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba
  18. Judging from the few times I saw him on the field last Saturday, he needs to work on the speed of his routes.
  19. So far the "fear the roo" campaign has been the only successful marketing campaign in over two decades. How long have we been with IMG? When is this marketing machine going to start "rollin?" I did see that Bart Simpson said "dadgum" on this weeks episode, so maybe IMG can build off of that.
  20. Nice photos Keener, thanks for posting.
  21. I think the concern this year is the depth. I thought our starting defense line played decent given the task (due to scheme and amount of snaps) they were given. Zac impressed me with his movement to avoid some pressure in the pocket. I think Miami did some good film study on our blitzing tendencies when we tried to help the d-line get pressure.
  22. You might have a tough time with this. As I posted before, TB told us that he doesn't like his QB to run because if he is at the bottom of the pile, he can't get the next play efficiently. TB doesn't forbid him to run, he just prefers he does not. I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just reporting what he told us. A few times when Zac ran, there was nobody around him for 25 yards.
  23. Overall, I agree with Holtz. I have seen a ton of terrible tackling on that play, even in the NFL this year. In this game, it was not terrible tackling, receivers were getting very open on that set. It was confusion in the secondary. The few times the Zips did have good coverage, Dysert burnt them by running the ball. I thought Zac played an awesome game...as did Dalton. The refs really robbed football fans of a good game.
  24. Every time Miami needed a first down (on third down) they used the same 3 WR to one side set. We had NO defense for that formation and outcome. I kept hoping for 3 and short instead of third and long. If an opposing team runs middle, we have a good chance of stopping them.
